I was born in Paris, France and lived in France until the age of 12. My family then moved stateside to Georgia, where I began being influenced by the Allman Brothers and Marshall Tucker band. I then went to high school in the Phillipine Islands where I hitchicked throughout the island of Luzon to Bagio city. I once again returned stateside to Georgia where I attended college. Throughout college life I hitchiked the country when I was 19 years old. Traveled from Florida to Canada...Ann Arbor Michigan to Boulder Colorado, playing and singing for food and fun. I played and toured with dance bands, hung out with carnies, and studied what I felt I needed to play music.I decided college really wasn't for me so I quit school, joined a rock n roll band and toured Texas and New Mexico playing clubs and hotels. After a couple o0f years of playing on the road and making a pretty decent living I decided to go to Austin, Texas, where I heard there was alot of pretty good music happening there. This was 1978 and Austin was a great place to be then, you could live pretty cheaply and just play music all day and night. I have played many of the now defunct clubs in Austin such as, Steamboat, Babe's , Jazz, Mother of Pearl's, Ski-Shores, The Filling Station, The Pier, Speak Easy, etc.In those days we'd go see Stevie at 3:00 am at Antones after the club closed down. Jeff would bring Hubert Sumlin over to the house for a late night snack, Jeff was a great chef! We'd go see the T-Birds and Stubbs was an old man who cooked Bar-b-Que right there in the club at Antones cause his place burned down. We'd listen to Mel Brown, Sarah Brown, Clifton Chenier( he was so tired) ....I met and married one of my groupies at the time and we've been married now for 20 years. We have 4 children ranging in ages of 24 to 8. The boys are all musicians and have played clubs all over town including showcases at SXSW, Stubbs, Alligator Grill etc. My youngest son, Andrew is well on his way to becoming a first rate guitarist. I guess that's what we do here...grow guitarists!

Part of her story is on my Myspace page. Please join as a fan/Friend to support the cause of helping her to walk again. You too brothaman! I wonder if you have any idea what good things you've started by simply getting out and making things happen. Lives and music careers are growing because of you. Leapfrog effect, at that. - John
