Jacques Manson (a.k.a. Michael C) is a well known artist amongst people of all ages in Madeira Island - Portugal. For the past 13 years everyone has learned to appreciate his work and his music and admiration for his vocation has grown turning him into one of the main electronic music ambassadors in the region. His residency in “Vespas”, a pioneering night club in Madeira, for 7 years contributed largely for his success.
He has been nominated 2 years in a row for various distinctions by the “Diário de Notícias and RTP” – A local news-paper and TV Station that holds a Gala yearly to appreciate and attribute awards to all those that achieve wonders in Madeira. He has also been nominated by the portuguese “Dance Club” Magazine as Portuguese Breakthrough DJ in 2005.
Jacques Manson has performed at all the main electronic music festivals and clubs of Madeira Island where his noticed talent took him further to play in Mexico, Lisbon, Porto, Algarve and Azores.
As a producer, he has already released a few tracks : 4 Singles and 1 Remix from which it’s original theme “Oh Yeah”, chosen by Roger Sanchez and Superchumbo for his album “After dark” in 2005. 2007 brought us “My world” still under Michael C belt released by Plastic Park , D-Nox label.
He also has his own radio show “Global Communication”, one of the most popular shows amongst Madeira’s dance music devoted. Global Communication is broadcasted on “Antena 3” between mid-night and 1 a.m. from Saturday to Sunday every week
