Jacques! You're in the Sept 17th edition of the Times, Calendar section. Great shot of you holding the kid's attention whilst reading The Chicken Dance!!
Jacques, I finished the book, and I have to say "Beautiful!" That's my kind of ending, too. I know you probably have a bunch of questions to answer, but the conflict is resolved. Plus, Don's at peace.
Have you been reading The Book of the Dun Cow?
How was your Thanksgiving? Was there turkey on the table?
Don is so innocently honest and altogether humble, but the reason he is humble and scared all the time is very sad. I love how his sentences continue for whole paragraphs; I enjoy that kind of internal monologue.
Do you know of Walter Wangerin's the Book of the Dun Cow? It's about chicken life, but it is a fantasy story.
