Thanks for voting for Faery Special Romances in the 2007 Fall N.O.R. Awards Best Print Sci-Fi/Fantasy Romance category. We won, and lots of you helped! :)
A know-it-all faery, star of Faery Good Advice, and now star of her own book, which we'll talk about later; otherwise, she'll want to take over the whole show. She's a royal pain in the patootie because her story was nominated for a RIO Award for Excellence:
. . . and she won the 2006 PEARL Award! Gah! There'll be no living with her now. :sigh:
I love books! Reading, reading, reading. So naturally I ended up writing, too. To read more about me, go to my bio on my website.
My first book, titled Faery Special Romances, is a May 2007 release from Highland Press. This anthology is a little different--a collection of stories, each of which is a romance, but all show the maturation of Keely from the year 1199 AD until the present time. She's a little like Jane Austen's Emma, who thinks she knows the perfect match for everyone, but she's always wrong!
Your Quirk Factor: 53%
You're a pretty quirky person, but you're just normal enough to hide it.
Congratulations - you've fooled other people into thinking you're just like them!
A Knight's Tale
POTC (both of them and I want to see the third NOW)
Music Man
Princess Bride

Mariners baseball and PBR bullriding
Books
I love romance novels and when I'm not writing, read a book every day or two. Honestly, I love so many of them that I can't single out one title. Then again, I'm terrible with names and/or titles anyway. I also read fantasy, westerns, and the occasional mystery. Fantasy is my main interest right now and I probably read as many of them as I do romances, these days. When I have time to read!
I also enjoy Greek mythology, and probably my favorite book of all time is A King Must Die by Mary Renault.
Heroes
First and foremost
my husband
Mark Rogers
also:
Ada Byron King, Countess of Lovelace is fascinating--a very intelligent woman who wrote the first computer programming language (Ada). You can read more about Lord Byron's daughter here
As for authors, I love Roberta Gellis'sBull God and Thrice Bound. I love her mystery series, too. What a wonderful writer, and I'm amazed at her body of work. She's a very intelligent lady and conversant on nearly any subject.
Jacquie Rogers Looking for something--always am, and it's here . . . somewhere. I just know it. Everything is here . . . somewhere. Posted at 9:55 AM Sep 11 view more
I'm a former software designer, campaign manager, deli clerk, and cow milker, but always a bookworm. I'm originally from Homedale, Idaho, but now I live in Seattle with my husband and cat.
Down Home Ever Lovin' Mule Blues is a contemporary western with a touch of woowoo. I say a touch, because Socrates the Mule professes the be the star of this this book. His goal is to teach his human, Brody, what love is all about.
As a way of thanking my readers, I'm running a very special contest, my MERRY CHRISTMAS BALL CONTEST . On December 1st, one lucky person will win a $100 gift card just in time for Christmas shopping.
