Jac the Disco consists of Jay Rossi & Tom Burns aka Pac and they’ve been working the club scene hard for the past couple of years now. Their club night ‘Last One In’s A Rotten Egg!’ has hosted some great guests over the years such as Brodinski, Riton, the Filthy Dukes, Duke Dumont, DJedjotronic, Nadia Ksaiba, Das Glow, Golden Bug, Serge Santiago, Damon Martin and the list goes on. Their club night is on hold at present as the guys have been working in the studio on some of their own productions which they are hoping to release in 2010.
Their DJ schedule in 2009 has been a busy one indeed. You'll hear their wide spectrum of musical knowledge influenced in their sets which encompasses everything from Chicago house to cosmic disco, balearic beats to deep house & techno. Their DJ schedule in 2009 has seen them play at parties such as 'Kill Em All', 'Chew the Fat' and 'Snap, Crackle & Pop' as well as playing at venues such as 'Dalston Superstore', '93 Feet East', 'Queen of Hoxton', 'the Lock Tavern' and the odd dusty warehouse party. With a residency at the bi-monthly party ‘My Heroes Killed Cowboys’ and 2010 almost upon us, it looks like its going to be a yet again another busy year for them.
MY HEROES KILLED COWBOYS - a brand new party from the man behind the curtain and two headed dj outfit jac the disco who run whats been quoted as "one of the best underground club nights in the capitol" [Last One In's A Rotten Egg // 333 // Shoreditch]. Bringing those with an adamant refusal to grow up cutting edge genre defying electronic dancing music from the big smoke and beyond to the ears and feet of the southwest.
The launch night is at Cornwall's hottest new venue, the sandsifter, Godrevy. Saturday 20th December 9till3
Back room - blood pumping electro THICK AS THIEVES - This duo recently won Groove Armada's prestigeous Lovebox competition, run one of the country's hottest club nights [Voodoo] and with major label interest are destined for world domination.
URCHINS - You cant pigeon hole this pair. Signed to Potty Mouth Music and highly in demand for their remix mastery, they are also the UK correspondent for the mighty Palms Out Sounds, the biggest music blog out there.
JAC THE DISCO - their four decks of dancefloor destroying cross genre electro mayhem has quickly gained a reputation for quality that is loved by party rockers everywhere from Cornwall to London to Ibiza
Whilst in the front bar .. panda baiting disco funk HONG KONG PING PONG - a dj collective born from NSB Radio's 'Beating The Crates' who have a penchant for all things funky, rooting it out wherever it can be found.
Plus an exhibition by super talented St Ives artist Sam Bassett who will showcasing some new work based on conversation, misplaced text and current affairs, using a mix of traditional methods with a feeling of contemporary illustration.
