A lot pof people say that Jade sound`s very much like Rush because of Kafod`s voice, that sounds quite similar as Geddy Lee. But in the way of composing, the band have been developing their own style, with a fusion of Rock, Folk from this latitudes and experimental progressive impro`s.

Our friend, photographer and collaborator, Consomi.
The band was born in 2002 and it´s a chilean power trio from Vi..a del Mar city.
It`s formed by Carlos Cruz (Sur Pacifico) in lead vocals and Bass guitar; Andr..s Retamal (Tumulto) on Guitars; and Felipe Morros (Flotante & Xilos) on drums.
On 2003, Jade recorded their first album called "Sistemas Abiertos" with Leo Retamal on drums by that period, and with the colaboration of Alexis Palma and Felipe Matallana.
After that, the band split and start looking for another drummer; that´s how Felipe join Jade.
He was playing at that moment in two more proyects: Flotante (www.flotante.cl) and Xilos (www.xilos.cl). During the same time, Carlos was invited to play with the acoustic chilean trio "Sur Pacifico" (www.surpacifico.scd.cl), leaded by ex Rael, Marcos Ribas.
Nowadays, Jade`s promoting their second album "451", which was release on January 6 of 2007 in a huge show.

La banda nace el ano 2002 en la ciudad de Vina del Mar. Sus integrantes son Carlos Cruz (Sur Pacifico) en voz y bajo, Andres Retamal (Tumulto) en guitarras y Felipe Morros (Flotante) en bateria.
En el ano 2003 Jade grabo su primer album llamado Sistemas Abiertos con Leo Retamal en bateria y con la colaboracion de Alexis Palma y Felipe Matallana. Despu..s de eso, Leo Retamal deja la banda y Jade comenzo la busqueda de un nuevo baterista. Ah.. es cuando Felipe Morros se une a la banda. El participa en dos proyectos: Flotante (http://www.flotante.cl) y Xilos (http://www.xilos.cl). Durante ese mismo tiempo, Carlos fue invitado a participar en el trio acustico Sur Pacifico (http://www.surpacifico.scd.cl), liderado por Marcos Ribas.
Por estos dias Jade se encuentra tomando un descanso después de haber editado su segundo album 451, trabajo conceptual basado en el libro de Ray Bradbury Fahrenheit 451, el cual fue estrenado en el Teatro municipal de Vina del Mar el 06 de Enero del 2007.
Andres esta trabajando en su disco como solista al igual que lo está haciendo Carlos, además de encontrarse este ultimo en la grabacion del nuevo trabajo de Sur Pacifico.
