Having a Hearing Impairment(Hereditary,Progressive Nerve Deafness)since the age of 17,INSPIRED me to express myself in alternative ways.I created the FIREFLY Artwork series to uPlift & remind us of those yester years.I just LUV fIrEfLiEs!Every summer,I look forward to the first fIREFLy sighting...When you see them again,as if for the first time,& you feel that innocent feeling they evoke.
HOW DO THEY DO THAT?? I believe that is their purpose.I also believe EVERYTHING in existence has a purpose(INCLUDING YOU)& the Firefly's purpose is of the greatest importance.In the midst of darkness & chaos,they are NEVER afraid.They take flight with confidence that GOD will light their way.No matter how dark the world may get,GOD is there & his light will ALWAYS shine :)
I paint fireFLIES because they help me remember who I was & who I am.In a world of uncertainty,they help me see the light,hope & love.A little beacon,a call to all, a gift from above.Even though some days are rough,& you feel you may never get through...Just remember those simpler days when to smile & laugh were easy to do.There is a light that'll always shine bright.That light is inside of YOU.
