In Buddhism, there are Four Noble Truths: (1) Life is suffering. (2) All suffering is caused by ignorance of the nature of reality and the craving, attachment, and grasping that result from such ignorance. (3) Suffering can be ended by overcoming ignorance and attachment. (4) The path to the suppression of suffering is the Noble Eightfold Path, which consists of right views, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right-mindedness, and right contemplation. These eight are usually divided into three categories that base the Buddhist faith: morality, wisdom, and samadhi, or concentration. In Buddhism, there is no hierarchy, nor caste system; the Buddha taught that one's spiritual worth is not based on birth.
About me:
Well.....How does one step out of themselves and describe themselves to strangers?.....I wish I could just take a day and in a surreality fashion, follow myself around for a day just to see how others view me to get a better perspective on just what I should be writing for you here...But in all reality I cannot do that so I will share with you myself from my own perspective...as limited and one sided as that can be...We know ourselves on such a limited basis and our journey is such a work in progress that we are for ever changing and progressing...OR I would like to think we are transforming...on many levels!
I have a strong spiritual side...like to practice introspection on a daily basis to find out more about myself and enhance my growth..mentally and spiritually....I am single...a collage artist and also design jewelry and LOVE photography....like to use my photos with other media in my collage work. I adore symbolism and us it often in my art and poetry writing....Philosophy and Psychology are passions of mine and consider myself quite the "Jungian" I grew up on Carl Jung's writing and use it often for my personal introspection growth and dream study! I enjoy meeting those from all walks of life and cultures....as friends and dating...as far as men go...when I do find a man I enjoy spending time with he is usually much older than I am but that is not always carved in stone. I like a man to meet me on a Spiritual Mental as well as sensual level....when two people can meet on this level...the chemistry is mystical....I feel I have shared enough for now...as I said...I am a work in progress...If you care to know more...after reading this small portion of my mental soul...please ask....Enjoy!!
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.!
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.
Wishing you a Happy Healthy Hope-Filled New Year! You *ARE* Loved! Joanne

With the New Year just hours away, I believe now is the time to set our intentions in the right... direction. It is now' that we need to realize that "We" and "WE" alone are the changes that need to be made.
There is nothing on the outside that is going to change unpleasent circumstances until we make the choice to "Be The Change" we want to see happen, in our personal Life, and in the Whole World...
The expression "Love is Blind" holds much significance to me, I believe now more than ever on this planet it is time to approach all negative obstacles with new eyes, "Blind Eyes" and to see with the heart. I set my intentions into 2010 with Love for the Earth and all of my brother and sisters.
Change is needed on all levels, and it begins with each and everyone of first on a personal level. I send my very Best Wishes for all of you to Find the Peace and Love in your Hearts to begin this New Year Off with a Bang~~~and I hope it echos far beyond your wildest Dreams....

May peace fill all the empty spaces around you and in you! May contentment answer all your wishes! May comfort be yours, warm and soft like a sigh. And may the coming year show you that every day is really a first day, a new year.
Let abundance be your constant companion, so that you have much to share. May mirth be near you always, like a lamp shining brightly on the many paths you travel.
