General
I have a lot of hobbies like working out my brain (books, and college) my body (weight training, swiming, and martial arts), Jamming and practicing the bass, DESECRATE, concerts (the ones I play and the ones were I watch others play) pretty much anything and everything having to do with Metal!!!!! Paintballing, some snow boarding/skiing (i love snow), rock climbing, rollercoaster’s (adrenaline in general really), creating and designing art from my imagination or for someone else’s using graphite, charcoal, pastels, acrylics, oil paints, colored markers and pencils. Parties (big fan of the Jager, Franziskaner, Piraat, and Duvel = good memories), astronomy/cosmology, philosophy, video/computer games, Warhammer (i know, I'm a dork) and of course sex, sleep, and food. I think however my favorite pass time of all is having a good time with friends and hearing and debating new points of views, and most importantly learning from them.
Music
I LOVE EVERYTHING METAL. Here are som of my favorite bands, composers, and artists: OLD Metallica (Cliff Burton), Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Pantera, Kiss, Slayer, Judas Priest, Ozzy, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Dream Theater, Rhapsody, Stratovarious, Shadows Fall, Symphony X, Blind Guardian, Demons and Wizards, Testament, Impellitteri, Dimmu Borgir, Anthrax, Death, Yngwie Malmsteen, Rush, Pink Floyd, Tenacious D, Adagio, Arch Enemy, Boston, Control Denied, Coroner, Dark Tranquility, Dio, The Beatles, DragonForce, Dream Evil, Angra, Exodus, Extreme, Fifth Angel, Grateful Dead, Guns n Roses, The Haunted, Hammerfall, Helloween, Iced Earth, Jag Panzer, Jimi Hendrix, Kalmah, Lamb of God, Meshuggah, Motley Crue, Mr. Big, Nightwish, Opeth, Pagan's Mind, Primus, Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Skid Row, Soilwork, Sonata Artica, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Soundgarden, Spastic Ink, Susperia, Ted Nugent, Tony MacAlpine, Tool, Necrophagist, Van Halen, Sleep Terror, Vital Remains, Wintersun, Yes, Bethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Prokofief, Grieg, Chopin, Vilvoldy, and so many more. I've come to the conclusion that there is no form of music that I hate, everything has SOMETHING to offer, but there are three things that i can't stand: 1 the same thing over and over again (that goes for the music and the lyrics), crappy tonality, or a really whiny voice, and last but not least when there is no talent involved (aka the horrid business side of music)
Movies
The Big Labousky, Detroit Rock City, Airheads, This Is Spinal Tap, both Wayne's Worlds, super troopers, the Punisher, Pulp Fiction, 300, Requiem for a Dream, the Pianist, Screwed, Dirty Work, both Bill and Teds, Army of Darkness, both evil deads, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, Back To The Future 1 and 2, They Live, Constantine, Identity, Jay and Silent Bob strike back, Star Wars, Dumb and Dumber, Old School, Spaceballs, Sleepy Hollow, all Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Matrix trilogy, almost everything from Monty Python; HOLY GRAIL!!, Pink Floyd the wall (on drugs), almost all 007 James Bond movies, Minority Report, Ace Ventura 1 & 2, Silence of the lambs, Starship Troopers, Fear and Loathing in Las Vagues, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Crank, Star Trek 2, 6, and First Contact, Dawn of the Dead (new), Ong Bak, Kill Bill, Con Air, Forest Gump, Boondock Saints, Fight Club, the Fifth Element, American History X, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (new), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest, almost all the Batman's, every Indiana Jones, exsersist... almost everything. My favorite types would have to be comedies, epic movies, and movies that screw with your head. the only thing i cant stand is chick flicks...most of the time : )
Television
Metalocalypse, Invader Zim, The Simpsons, the Dave Chappelle show, Insomniac, Roco's Modern Life, Family Guy, South Park, Futurama, the Venture Bros., beavis and butt-head, Cowboy Beebop, and Neon Genesis Evangelion favorite. I like other shit too, I just have more important things to do then to fry my brain watching T.V......oh and now that i moved out, i don't even have cable at my pad : )
Books
Classic Philosophical Questions, Arguments Across the Disciplines, Soul Sword, Family of Light, the Odessy, Enders Game, 1984, Forest Gump, and Tell Tale Hearts (actually almost everything from Edger Alen Poe). i really like sifi, and fantasy; anything with a little imagination really. i also really like philosophical and problem approaching essays, and right now i have been getting into ALOT of different religious books. The wonderful thing about books is being able learn and pick what you like from tons of other peoples points of views. As for magazines: bass player, guitar world, white dwarf, and the economist.
Heroes
Cliff Burton, Geezer Butler, Steve Harris, Billy Sheehan, Flea, John Myung, Micheal Lepond, Mark King, Victor Wooten, Less Claypool, Paul McCartney, Jaco Pastorius, Steve Digiorgio, Geddy Lee, a ton of other grate bass players, my parents for always putting up with all of my shit and still supporting and loving me : ) my big brother for accomplishing so much so fast, my little brother for being my best friend, and of course Nick Simile, Chase Becker, and Adam Jones for being excellent musicians, helping me pursue my dream, and having really easy names to spell : ) oh yeah and that guy that stole a tank and ran it onto the freeway.
