Jeremiah’s project, “Love Notes” is an R&B/Soul Extended Play album. The instrumentation consists of true instruments blended with only a few samples and electronic alterations. Jeremiah sang all the lead vocals in one session with no additional effects, pitch shifters or enhancers on his voice. Basic reverb, delay and compression were added, but no effects or equalizers to fix his pitch.
Born James G. Connor, in Long Beach, California the artist/songwriter, instrumentalist and producer who is now called Jeremiah, was raised in Seattle, WA. Like many great legends in R&B Jeremiah got his roots in the Church. From the church he was taught, “Your gift will make room for you in this world”. He has traveled all over the country as well as internationally including a year of performing at Universal Studios in Osaka, Japan. Some raise an eyebrow to learn that Jeremiah was brought up in the Catholic tradition when they experience the depth of his spirituality and his soulful voice. At the age of 7 Jeremiah began studying the piano and latter moved on to study various other instruments including the cello, French horn, trumpet and trombone. With a desire to continue his education, Jeremiah left Seattle in 1995 to enroll at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2000, he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in music education. A few years later Jeremiah moved to Los Angeles in hopes of pursuing his musical dreams. In Los Angeles, Jeremiah continued to teach elementary music full time. However, the desire to perform and produce was increasingly tempting and soon Jeremiah was influenced to be courageous and step out on faith. In December 2003, Jeremiah was hired to sing background on tour with R&B singers Kenny Lattimore and Chante Moore in a musical review of their debut duet cd, “Things that Lover’s Do”. In 2006, he appeared on an episode of “Big Break,” a variety talent contest on the Tom Joyner Show. In March 2007, Jeremiah recorded his first EP entitled “Love Notes” with Loren Weisman of Protectomatic Music. Currently Jeremiah is on the move to Japan again to fulfill another contract with Universal Studios in Osaka and preparing to release a new project in the year 2010.

True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.
