I'm an english man living in paris on and off for about 16 years now. In the early 90s I was asked to join the anglofrench band "AppleRed" who christened me Jah Buddha. I spent four, very happy, years playing synths with the band but eventually it was time to move on. I then spent three years solo as Foam and a couple of years as an itinerate guitarist guesting at several "LoFi" events. I am now trying to tie together all these experiences into one project which I'm calling "Phaselock"
The track "Buddhas' Clouds" is a tribute/hommage to Tim Blake & Gong that, although not a cover version, owes its inspiration to "A Sprinkling Of Clouds" on Gongs "You" album.
"Drift Away(for H)" parts one and two is a track I made for a friend who like me suffers from insomnia. This track is an attempt to make a relaxation piece but avoiding "New Age Musak" cliches. It is a theme that I shall be returning to.
I'm also putting together the "Space Music Collective" and we are looking for gigs from july onwards.
