Since the age of 13 joseph cooke(jah eyes) has been writing,producing and performing reggae music with his own individual sound and style.At first working as engineer for his uncle's band (the survivors) and as selector for the sound King jr .As time went on working with live bands it was inevitable that he would learn to play a variety of instruments starting with the keyboard and bass guitar and gradually moving along to other sounds. After an unfortunate turn of events in his life he found himself removed from society and persecuted for the use and possesion of herb...when returning home to the world as we know it he recorded the first single sheep an the goat and was pressed on his own label through don one studios in brooklyn. Not long after that the first album was released called "the world we're living in" 2002...after touring up and down the east coast promoting the message he recorded another album titled"soldiers of the trinity" in 2003 but due to unforseen circumstances it wasnt finished untill2004...at this time working with friends and manager he opened for many well known acts such as bounty killa,wayne wonder and worked with many others in collaberation...now in 2009-10 the laitest masterpeice is ready for release and it is well awaited....stay tuned for tour dates and promotional shows in your area....
