The Kingston. Jamaica born, Michael "JahKnight" is no new face in the Reggae music business. He has been bless with music from the day he was born. He started to play the bass and sing at the early age of 8 years old. He said that he was always singing and doing music, for as long as he can remember. He is
from the Waltham park road community in Kingston, a place were Reggae music and sound systems is a part of the community. JahKnight said he became a master at his works and want to make it clear that he is "No butter" cutter artist.
JahKnight moved to Sweden in the late 90's to work with a Jamaican sound system called "Heartbeat sound" that was owned and runed by Dj Risky B. In 1997 he start playing with the mighty "Swing-a-ling movement". Then released his first song for Swing-a-ling records called "My priness" on the "Destination Jamaica" album part one.
In 2000 Jahknight linkup with the "Topaz sound" crew that is runed by music and musicvideo producers Rigo and Michel. He then worked with "Topaz records" recording and proforming on some of Swedens biggest music scenes and clubs, he even apeared on the Swedish (Big Brother reality show) in 2002 were he profromed live on TV for over 9 million Swedish veiwers. JahKnight played with Topaz sound all over Sweden and Europe wining some big soundclashes and is still the real champions of the soundclash scene in Sweden. He also played before some of the top jamaican artists and bands like "Black Uhuru, Mykal Rose, Sean Paul, TOK, Wayne Wonder, Lady Saw, Tanya Stephens, Elehpant Man, Mr Vegas, Collie Buddz" and more. Also international artists that came to Sweden like "Rick Ross, Nina Sky, K-Ci & Jojo, 112, Keith Sweat" and at "50 Cents" after party when he came to Stockholm the first time. He also proformed at the 2007 "Nobel peace price" after party with the "Topaz sound"crew.
Jahknight is now working on his own production lable call "JahKnightmusic" and he sais that he is ready to show the world his talent and love for the music. He has been doing some recordings with "King Island music" and other Reggae producers but at this time he is joining up with "NordicSteel enterainment", and is now bringing a new influence on to the music scene called (CRUNKHALL) a mix of "Crunk, Dancehall and reggae" produced by the "NordicSteel crew" (Ja-trix,Spitfire,Iman Russ) and he has the best reggae styles and inspiration that a singer can give to his fans! JahKnight sais that there are alot of evil and badminded people in this world but he is ready to push his spear deep in there evilust heart and let the powers of Jah rain over his people on earth."Jah Bless"
