Rizon has always been a songwriter preferring to focus on conscious lyrics, believing that while many entertainers exist, mere entertainment alone does not bring positive change. With this in mind, he also understands the need for his message to reach the masses. And so, it is this blend of positive lyrical content merged with his rich and enchanting voice that makes Rizon unique and appealing.
His style? He is able to execute his hard hitting lyrics with machine gun pace while maintaining a sweet, smooth soulfull flow.
Rizon hopes to “reach” the world and make a positive impact through the power of his music which is distinctively Caribbean and youthful while remaining soulful, conscious and real!
In his first year alone Rizon was a finalist in the National Youth Awards and nominated for the ’Jazz/World Music Composition of the Year’ at the COTT Music Awards.
