Biography
Selecta Jah Vibration initiated to his career as anthology of reggae music in the year of 2002, beginning it act in several clubs of the city of the Porto, including in the cultural space contagiarte. Quickly received the gift of Jah earning a huge love by this culture. In the following year form the webmagazine www.portaldoreggae.com and begins it work seriously with music reggae, learning how and venerating all this culture and respecting her ideals. With it pass from the time Jah Vibration was doing fortresses friendships in the world of the sets to music reggae, between the which; Eek-A-Mouse, Horace Andy, Tawanda, Don Carlos, Sister Nancy, Ijahman Levy… All these artists transmitted an extreme strenght to continue his career in the world of the reggae… In 2005 form the Portaldoreggae soundsystem with Xibata and Clandestino, a collective fortress of the city of the porto. Nowadays he perform as selecta or with soundsystem because the mission is to spread the positive message. Nowadays the culture sets to music is immense, the performances are strong , always with positive message, of love and of peace. Jah Vibration already played in all the country, with endless number soundsystem..s, One Sun Soundsystem, Riddim Culture, Youth Culture, Big Badda Boom, Lawful Shoto Sound (France), King Tubby..s (UK), and many others… Spread the message brothers, reggae music it..s beautifull! A I-Sensia apresenta dia 19 de Setembro no Club 8 em Aveiro a Tour Europeia do jamaicano Mikeylous.
Michael George Grant "Mikeylous" nasceu em St. Ann,na Jamaica. Começou como cantor no Jack Ruby Hipower, famosa crew dos anos 80 que ficou famosa pelas suas vibrantes actuações. Por entre soundsystems e diversas editoras, Mikeylous conseguiu pôr as suas músicas nos “top charts” jamaicanos. Em 1992 Mikeylous criou a champagne records, onde conseguiu vencer como produtor, lançando vários jovens cantores no mundo da música jamaicana. Com êxitos como “Sticky” ,”Istant Hit” e “Pray” ao lado do famoso Michael Rose (Black Uhuru), Mikeylous já partilhou o palco com Capleton, Anthony B, Beenie Man, Jah Cure, Queen Ifrica, Munga Honorable, I-Octane entre outros.
A acompanhar Mikeylous estarão os lisboetas Big Badda Boom. O trio é composto pelos conceituados Selectas Gui e Matata, acompanhados ao microfone pelo talentoso Aprendiz. Tendo já passado por diversos palcos e actuado ao lado de conceituados Sound Systems de renome internacional como Supersonic, Kingstone, Soundquake, Pow Pow Movement, Kiki Sound, Pot of Gold Sound, BBB conta já com uma actuação ao lado do artista jamaicano Lukie D e do tobaguenho Bunji Garlin. No verão de 2007 Big Badda Boom Sound tornou-se no primeiro Sound System Português a tocar na Dancehall Arena no maior festival do mundo de Reggae, Rototom Sunsplash em Itália. Conta também com uma participação no festival sudoeste ‘08.
i-Sensia apresenta mais uma noite reggae em Aveiro, no Club 8. Desta vez conta com a actuação de DUBI (vocalista da banda portuense Sativa), Sista Gi (Sativa) e Sista Tima (Sativa), apoaidos pelo selecta Aerosoul (Viana do Castelo) e pelo selecta heRbwiZe (Aveiro). Apareçam e tragam boas vibrações...
i-Sensia apresenta dia 1 de Agosto no Club 8 (Aveiro) One Sound Sound (Lisboa), Sensimillia (Aveiro), heRbwiZe(Aveiro) e Rios(Espinho)
- One Sun Sound começou em 2004, pela mão de Natty Gogo e Rosas, ambos membros da banda One Sun Tribe. nao demorou muito até que outros membros da banda se juntassem tambem ao soundsystem, Natty Rebel, Wellas, Sellasiai e mais tarde Tony Clean.
A Zona 6 e a Massive Reggae apresentam mais uma "MASH IT UP!" sábado 26 de Julho no Porto Rio. Uma noite dedicada aos sons oriundos da Jamaica e á cultura do Sound System, passando do Reggae ao Dancehall e ao Drum & Bass! Um cartaz com a especial presença de PRINCE WADADA, KINKY REGGAE CLUB & GANJAHR FAMILY, SELECTA XIBATA e DJ ODER numa imperdível noite de verão no Barco Gandufe!
