~ tHE LatESt ALBUM~PEACES~...written,arranged,recorded,performed&produced by JAiME DoLCE...with,of course,more than a little help from his friends...JEREMY BAUM played Hammond Organ on "ROSA" & on "TiME(Pietrasanta bLUES)" & Electric piano on "LoSiNG ME"..ANDREA TARAVELLi played Bass on "CiTROEN SUZiE&ME"..and AARON GAROOVY played Saxophone on "LoSiNG ME"...it all started when Jaime had just returned from his "Lost iN iTaLy"..."touR?"...Long time friend James"SAM"Dodge had just got some recording equipment..and a few gigs for Jaime in the Northern Westchester area..."before i knew it Sam had installed pro-tools into his Mac and these packages with microphones where arriving.."tells Jaime..."i had always wanted to try out these ideas that i'd read about in interviews with Jimmy Page,John Frusciante..etc..experimenting with mic placement...it was great to have so much freedom to experiment a bit..well Sam being a Mac expert..and an impulsive,adventurous freak..really made it all happen...i had songs just laying there that i'd been wanting to record...mostly stuff that i wrote in iTaLy...and a brand new one that came to me in a jet lagged dream...just as i got home from italy...inspired by this cooL little Danelectro-HONEY tONE amp( http://www.danelectro.com/effects_8.html )that ...was given to me by the guy whose band i was working in...it was just a blast to hang with Sam...and get these tunes down...most of the time with 1 amp in the bath room &the other in the living room...HONEY TONE was recorded using the HONY tONE on about 3 different guitar tracks(2 mostly feedback&noise&1 sLide guitar track) all played through that tiny little amp..feedback etc...it was madness at times..tHREE dogs(MaX,ELLa&ViCtOR)barking and growling..Sam is a volunteer Fireman..so the radio was always beeping..calls coming in...Sam couldn't believe how many takes it took to get certain things down..i had forgotten to mention to him that i hadn't touched a drum set in at least 10 years...so i had to re-learn what i never really had known in the first place(i am NOT a drummer...)...it all sounds good in my head..but playing it and getting decent takes was another trip...thank god for pro-tools!!!.. it was almost too much freedom..hence the incredibly long time it took to get it finished...then to mix it was another important lesson...lucky for me i have some great(&talented!)friends...in this case one Andy W.Brock..we were in our first bands together since 7th grade...he learned music production&engineering at the Berkley Conservatory... so after him explaining to me that despite the cool sounds&ideas...the equalization & mixing were VERY wrong...all the levels had to be taken down...way down...he took the time to re-mix the whole record with me...that too in itself was great because i got to re-connect with Andy after like 10 years of not hanging...i'm just glad it's done..i could've kept picking at it for another year....tHank you Sam!!.THaNk you Andy!!!.." So...it's out there...CHECK it OUT~PEACES!.at an iNNeRSOLe show near you.

"...a combination of Mississippi BLues& the electric funk of HENDRiX's Band of Gypsys..."(Tri-State BLues Magazine) ~ Brooklyn born guitarist,singer,songwriter...dRUnkodeLicbLuesman,Jaime Dolce has been playing professionally since 1988...My first gigs in New York City were as lead guitarist of METROPOL.i later formed EL KaBoNG which slowly mutated into...iNNeRSOLe.Soon after..i once again bumped into Mason Casey Blues(Northern BLues Records.Wilson Pickett.&ex-Popa Chubby productions/Dixie Frog Records)who asked me to join his band as lead guitarist.
Mason Casey still calls me his “Blues Brother” and favorite guitarist..he always loved the fact that i was into the old roots&delta bLUES but still very open to modern funk sounds..
Between my iNNeRSOLe!&Mason's band,i was playing regularly at all the New York City Blues & Rock dives in the early '90s..Dan Lynch,Nightingale Bar, Manny's Car Wash, the Bitter End, St.Marks Bar&Grill, Mondo Cane, McGoverns, Finians Rainbow,etc..it was like blues University...i was very lucky to be able to share the stage with many of N.Y.C.'s finest in Blues, Rock&Funk such as Arthur Neilson (guitar:Shemeka Copeland), Keith Carlock (Drums: Steely Dan, Sting, The Blues Brothers, Leni Stern...) Dan Hickey (Drums:JuNiOR WeLLs, Joe Cocker,Cindy Lauper, John Paris, Joe Jackson, They Might Be Giants...), Lee Finkelstein (Drums:the FuNk FiLharmonic,The Blues Brothers, Tower Of Power...)PaveL Maciwoda(new bassist of Scorpians..) Charley Torres (Bass: Edgar Winter, Rick Deringer..)..Little Buster..Popa Chubby, Popsie Holmes...those were the good oL'daze.
i have always dug old Delta Blues & Urban Funk..people do make various comparisons..G.Love&Specail Sauce, Ben Harper,etc...but my heroes have always been JiMi HeNdriX,DuANE ALLmaN&tHE ALLmaN bRotHERS BanD,RoBERt JoHNSON,JaMES BRoWN,tHE BEAtLeS,tHE RoLLiNG StONES,LeD ZePPELiN,StEViE RAy VaUGHaN,tHE MetERS,Z.Z.tOP,RoBiN tROWER,SLy&tHE FaMiLy StONE,StEViE WoNdER,BoB DyLaN..i could go on forever..
In 1998 i released my first record PURPLE BLUES, recorded in Brooklyn N.Y.at Bruce Gordon Studios with Dan Hickey(Joe Cocker,John Paris,They might Be Giants..etc)on drums & Dean Zucchero(Popa Chubby,tHE HeALERS)on Bass.
By 1998 i found myself touring through Italy..with a new mutation of iNNeRSOLe..all up&down the boot..with a few new “Sole Brothers”..mainly,Matteo Sodini on drums and Stefano Castelli or ANdREA TarAVELLi on bass.sometimes CaRMiNE BLOiSi on drums...i'd say we've played just about every fUNky little pub & cLub to just about every Festival from Switzerland to Sicily...
~1999: Pistoia Blues Festival opening for Lucky Peterson, Johnny Lang, Deep Purple.
~2000: Alcamo Summer BLues Festival(Alcamo,Sicily)opening for Mick Taylor (John Mayal's Blues Breakers, Rolling Stones..); Bologna Blues festival opening for Nine Below Zero..we did a small tour where we were honored to back up Mick Abrahams (Blodwyn Pig and Jethro Tull)..my old agent even sold our shows booking us with Mick as Blodwyn Pig.(we didn't even know until we got to shows and found some rather"surprised" local promoters..)..
In the midst of all this..i would still hook up with Mason Casey and the fantastic KriS JeffERSoN on bass whenever possible for various gigs & tours throughout The Netherlands,Belgium & France.
In 2005 Zucchero Sugar Fornaciari(Italy's most famous rock/pop/"blues"star)came one of my gigs in Viareggio and he liked the show so much that he invited me & my band over to his Lunisiana home to jam on some new ideas..a few moths later i got a call from the president of the Zucchero fan club to play as special guests at the “2005 Zucchero fan club raduno” in Modena (Italy).Zucchero was very cool...he even came out to introduce me&the band...
in 2006 i was asked to join the Davide Van De Sfroos Band (a well known cult following italian folk/rock songwriter from Como)as lead guitarist..it was one of the strangest bands i've ever been in..but i did have the honor of being in that band with blues harmonica hero Sugar Blue (MiSS YOU!Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Willie Dixon...)as well as ToNY CoBiN on bass..&StANLeY WatSON on drums!..
With the Davide Van De Sfroos Band we played The 2006 French Quarter Festival in New Orleans(USA), S.Severino Blues(Italy), the Smeraldo Theatre(Milan,itaLy),Palabasket Bellinzona(Switzerland), Rock & Folk Festival Chiasso(Switzerland), Palamazda Milano(8,000 seats!full)Italy...it was like being in very laid back high budget cabaret show..we had a camera crew following us around to film the DVD documentary Ventanas.(which contains some of my WORST playing EVER in my life..a very STRANGE "band")..we were regularly playing sold out shows to 3,000..5,000 people..sometimes more..Davide asked me to come into the studio to work on his "new record" PiCA..when i got there,instead of playing the new songs we'd been working on at sound check,they had me playing stuff i had never heard before..about 2 years after the record was released i finally got a copy of the record from a friend..i'd say the producer did a great job...what strange band that was...
In 2007 me&my iNNeRSOLe were invited to the PiSTOiA BLUES 2007 BLues Festival to pLay tribute to Mr.JiMi HENDRiX celebrating the 40th anniversary of the release of ARE YOU EXPERiENCED...after playing out the rest of the summer with DVDS & with iNNeRSOLe,featuring Andrea TaraveLLi on bass,i decided it was time to leave Davide Van De Sfroos..& get back to America.Once i got back home i worked with various rhythm sections.Aside from reuniting with the one&only Dan Hickey(everyone from Joe Cocker to John Paris to THEY MiGHT BE GiANTS,THE B-52s,Cindy Lauper..etc)on drums..we also had the honor of having Jeremy Baum(Shameka Copeland&many others)on Hammond Organ, sometimes Eric Udell (tHE BLUES BROTHERS&many more)on bass & at times tHE FUNkiest of drummers such as Lee FiNkeLStEiN(tHE BLUEs BROTHERs,tOWER oF POWER,etc),&ViCtor Jones(Chaka Khan,etc..) & even a gig with AdRian Harpham(drums,tHE MEtERs,LuCY PEARL..&just about everyone else..)...and on speciaL occasions the MiGhty AaroN GaRoOVy on SaxophoNE...i also got to hook up again with the great JoHNNy BoOtS,we were in Mason's band together back in the '90s..he would sit in with iNNeRSOLe pretty regularly and he&i opened up a show for the lovely Ana PoPoViC..where RoNNy EaRL just happened to stop in to play with Ana..
In 2008 i finally got to make my next ALBUM...~PEACES~ {feAt:ANdrea TaraveLLi pLaying bass on~CitROEN SUZiE&Me~,JeREMy bAUM on OrGaN&Key BoARd,AaRON GaROovY on Saxophone..and me playing everything else..}
iN 2009 i made my way back to iTaLy...it's been cool to be touring again with my iTaLian "soLE brotHERs"..Matteo SoDiNi on drums..and Stefano CasteLLi & ANdREA TaraveLLi aLternating bassist duties...i have also recently had the pleasure&honor of collaborating with the amazing ALeX RicCi(guitarist of Apres La CLasSe..)i hope to put out a new record soON!.so keep your ears & soLes open for Jaime DoLce's iNNeRSOLe...
