"New artist you should know about!"
Rollingstone Magazine (Australia)
ALBUM OF THE WEEK - "A rockin' blues mini-album which finds the son of James souding eerily like his father for the first time in his nascent career. Opener 'The Blonde Hotel' barely gives you time to catch breath with its relentless rhythm, 'To Be Your Friend' is a sweet, fireside acoustic guitar and harmonica number and the title track is another rollicking bluesy rock song with some serious chops. The biggest achievement of these eight tracks is that they whet your appetite to see them live."
Kathy McCabe - Daily Telegraph
"...this one’s got a bite. It’s not just the thrill of hearing something great from a band no-one’s heard of – it’s the shock of hearing great country-punk! from the same. It’s sort of clear how Jaime Robbie Reyne and his Paradise Three pull it off, though I won’t assume to tread too far on their magic: basically, they all play their instruments better than other bands play theirs. You should hear the drumbeat on ‘The Blonde Hotel’! It’s like finding yourself smack-bang in the middle of a barn dance holding a live grenade."
Andrew Ramadge, Mess+Noise Magazine
"...an impressive collection of country-flavoured rock."
Shane O'Donohue - Hit, Herald Sun
...this one from a fella called Jaime Robbie Reyne & The Paradise Three. It's a beauty - keep an eye out for them. Love the sound of that one, called "Fallen Flower" at the very top of the bracket. "
Caz Tran - Triple J
“…Credit to you hot foot boys and your wildly excitable country blues style. The band is sending off sparks…” Singles by Simone - Beat Magazine
"...Jaime Robbie Reyne's voice is so real it hurts; the raw emotion is carried in every note, creating an intense intimacy that envelops the whole crowd. His electric guitar is more than enough to carry his soulful country blues, which is at once both joyous and mournful (in a Cruel Sea kinda way). Absolutely gutted to find that his free, hand-carved CD didn't play when I got it home. Next time, Dr. Reyne, next time." Drew Clarke - The Brag Magazine
"...he blew the crowd away - a wonderful voice, full of vibrato that expresses sadness and longing. It moves you. Jaime Robbie
Reyne has the charisma, the voice and some great songs - the best Jager Uprising this year!" Neil Wedd - Indie Initiative & Jager Uprising, Melbourne
"...you must catch Jaime Robbie Reyne playing around town - this guy is good!" Jeff Jenkins - Inpress Magazine
"...I'm thinking Jeff Buckley and after a couple more tunes and a change to his dirty electric guitar it felt a bit more like Ry Cooder - even a little B.B. King"
Mark Goddard - Inpress Magazine
blah blah blah blah blah...Between 2003 & 2004 JRR played endless solo gigs from tiny little holes in London to Festivals in Australia.
2005 saw the independent release of his debut solo acoustic EP "Tex Sessions".
In 2006 Jaime formed "Jaime Robbie Reyne & The Paradise Three".
In 2007 JRR & The P3 released their debut mini-Album "Fallen Flower" (through Green Media/MGM) to critical acclaim, from many renowned publications including Rollingstone Magazine.
The release was followed up with a national tour and performances at such esteemed festivals as St Kilda Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, Soveriegn Hill Music Festival and The Australian Country Music Muster, just to name a few.
Forming the group "Rushcutter" with his dear pals Vincent Daniele, Brett Wolfenden & Mike O'Dowd in 2008, they were quick to start writing/producing a handful of demo's and playing a batch of headline shows throughout Melbourne, before disembarking to the US to further their sound. Upon returning to Australia in early '09 the boys were signed to Mercury Records / Universal and in the studio working on their debut EP & Album with renowned American producer Niko Bolas. Stay tuned.
