Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Folk/Roots artist Jaimi Faulkner, has deservedly earned himself a reputation as a gifted songwriter, an accomplished musician and an exciting live performer. Brought up on a diet of Blues, Country and Folk music, his originality as a songwriter is a blend of these influences with a quality that is uniquely his own.
At twenty-one, Jaimi Faulkner dove headfirst into the Australian Music scene releasing an impressive debut album LAST LIGHT.
The album, featuring Aria award winners Mia Dyson and Chris Wilson, debuted at no. 5 on the Australian Rhythms Magazine Charts where it held its position for four months. It attracted rave reviews in The Age and Street Press and was played consistently on Triple J Roots & All, PBS and RRR radio.
Faulkner spent 2005 touring Australia, further promoting his album and captivating audiences with his powerful live performances. Jaimi was also invited to support his favourite songwriter Chris Whitley (USA), and play at some of Australia’s most respected festivals: Port Fairy, Apollo Bay, Queenscliff, and Wangaratta Jazz & Blues Festivals.
In December 2006, Jaimi Faulkner followed up his Debut Album with a Soulful New Release BACK TO YOU. It featured heavily on National Radio with singles Roll Tumble Smuggle & Stumble and Coming Home to Your Love debuting at 3 and 4 on the Triple J Unearthed Charts.
Faulkner hit the road again in ‘07 to concentrate on his live shows, playing more than 200 shows that year. These included performances at the American JUKE JOINT FESTIVAL in Clarksdale MS, where he played with the legendary Big Jack Johnson, followed by a tour of Europe. Towards the end of ’07 he took time out to write in the company of producer Andy Strange (INXS, Robbie Williams, Diesel etc).
Early in 2008, Faulkner took out the prestigious Australian Blues/Roots Performer of the Year (band category) and was awarded the opportunity to represent Australia in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN. As a result, Faulkner, and band members Tim Keegan and Dean Matters, headed to the United States to perform alongside some of the world’s top Blues/Roots performers, scoring a mention in Blues Revue Magazine, as one of the ‘hot power trios’ of the Challenge.
Faulkner then went on to tour Europe for the second time in as many years, performing in Belgium, The Netherlands, and Germany before heading home to a three-week tour of West Australia and South Australia.
Faulkner is now in pre-production for his anticipated new release, due 2009.

Absolutely, I'll be in Liverpool around then so definitely come up for a beer. The album sounds really good, just been listening to it in the car. Let me know if you need a sound guy for UK/Europe dates!
Hey Jaimi, thanks for the comment and sorry I missed your May 3 gig.. I'd just returned from Sydney. See you at the album launch July 18 if not earlier. Best, Adam Deluxe Mastering
Hey Jaimi, Awake already over there on the other side? Just had a concert in the store with Michael Fix. Do you know him? I told him about you and I told him the story about you learning the harp and told him to get down on it and I want to hear him next year playing the harp. You know, you should learn how to play mandolin. Ry Cooder played alot of solo mandolin on alot of his early songs. You got 5 months. Looking forward to seeing you in September and I already have people signing up for the show. Leonard
