Sounds Like
Ben Gibbard (at least my vocal...). I can't tell you what my next song will sound like... I never really know. I hope, however, that it will always sound different somehow.
I'm just a guy...
I can tell you about my rig, though.
- ELECTRIC GUITARS: Fender American Standard Telecaster (Sunburst), Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Super Sport, and (no kidding) The Jake Collier Custom. Yes, I built a guitar. It needs work...
- ACOUSTICS: Simon and Patrick "Quilted Maple" Model, Avalon Grand Auditorium 201CE (serial number 106), Godin Multiac ACS Slim SA (with Roland GR-33 Guitar Synth Board)
- STRINGS: Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky for electrics, Elixir Polyweb Lights for acoustics, D'Addario Pro Arte for the Godin.
- PEDALS: (in signal order) Boss TU-2 Tuner, MXR Super Comp, Tech21 NYC Killer Wail Wah (needs a new potentiometer), Danelectro French Toast Octave Up (can't beat it for $30), Hermida Zendrive (amazing), Fulltone Fulldrive 2 (of course), Vintage DOD Gate/Loop (only sometimes), MXR Micro Amp (a clean boost... lovely), Line 6 MM4 (highly recommended), Boss Stereo Reverb (best digital reverb pedal I've found), Danelectro PB&J Delay (not bad, but I'm looking to replace it with MXR Carbon Copy), and lastly... THE MIGHTY BOSS GIGA DELAY (the most precise delay around). [All powered by Godlyke Powerall... will be replaced soon by VooDoo Labs Pedal Power II]
- AMPS: Vox AC-15 (an actual British reissue from 1996), 1969 Fender Bassman with original cabinet and one original speaker.
- CABLES: Depends...
- ACCESSORIES: Dunlop capoes, Ebow, Dunlop Brass Slide
