After netting the AVP’s MVP award in 2006, Jake has established himself as one the biggest stars on the AVP Tour. Jake is one of the few players on the AVP Tour that did not play volleyball in college. He grew up in Bountiful Utah, playing golf and basketball. It was not until he turned 21 that he took up the sport of beach volleyball with his twin brother, Colman. Jake is the youngest of 11 children. He graduated for University of Utah in 2002 with a degree in business. Jake and his wife Jane were married in 2000 and moved to southern California in 2002. About me:
I've got a good wife Jane and 5 siblings that live here in Orange County with me. I love beating down Rosie and Dodd in our weekly rounds of golf. I have great memories of growing up in Utah. Our house was set in the mountains in Bountiful with a backyard that ended hundreds of miles away in Wyoming somewhere. Thanks a ton to Johnny Utah for putting up this myspace page for me.
