Jake Shimon is a singer, musician and recording artist best known as the frontman and songwriter for the Madison Wisconsin college rock band Secondhand. Shimon, now 26, continues to perform solo around Milwaukee and Chicago while working on his new album "Everything Will Be Alright", which will feature 14 brand new songs and will be released independently at the end of the summer.
While with Secondhand, Shimon performed all over the Midwest, appeared on several local, regional and national radio and television programs, and opened for national acts Local H, Michael Glabicki (of Rusted Root) and The Whigs. Shimon’s publishing company Angry Little Badger Music has successfully placed 20 songs in three popular Nickelodeon television shows: Zoey 101, Drake & Josh and iCarly.

He is also working on a new project called Underdogs From Outerspace with drummer Andrew Lynch, formerly of the Milwaukee bands The Woods and Elixr. They are recording and hope to release a record very soon. Check out their myspace to listen to some rough tracks from the record and to find out about the record release and where they are playing next.
Hey Jake! How is everything going?! Give me an update on what's goin on cause I hardly ever get to talk to Ali anymore.. (She's like, all grown up with a job or something?) lol soo yeah, let me know how Cali and that audition were!
Glad you like it. I only have their fist cd, Blue Horse. I repeat the Littlest Birds and Up Against the Wall.
I got to hear more of your (old) stuff at Jason's the other day. I dug it :) I can't approve of the anti-Jason song for loyalty reasons but it was so cool to hear where you've come from. You definitely belong in music.
Yes I def wanna see you when you come to STL I will have to show you around the city;) You are soooo talented. Is there any way I can add that song to my profile? You should put it on your music list.
