My name is Jake Skubisz, I live in Newington, Connecticut, and this is my music project. I played guitar since I turned fifteen years old and am eighteen at my time of writing this. I record all of these songs by myself, playing all instruments unless I mention otherwise. I never had a formal music lesson in my life, so excuse the lack of technical ability and please accept true passion and feeling in exchange.
I hope you enjoy what I do, I know I do.

I go to Texas Tech .. with my major being Landscaping Architecture! i really enjoy it, and am using loans to help pay for it, which ill be paying off when i graduate...ha, oh joy.
AHHH!!!!!!!!! the weather man says we're supposed to get a lot of snow tomorrow and for it to stick through Christmas :] How exciting!! doesnt really feel like Christmas is in 2 days...maybe the snow will change that!
oh wow really? ive mostly always had a job, but not full time! thats pretty awesome that you can juggle both and still do well in school! i hope all things work out for the best.
snow...hmm, ive seen it once this year...and it was in the dryest place in the US..lubbock texas! ha. now im in okc and ive yet to see any! but like i said, we're hoping for a white christmas. it was overcast today and when i went on my jog this morning, so hopefully i'll be seeing white soon! have a wonderful Christmas if i dont talk to you before then!
Hey! Sorry I have'nt written back in a while, I really enjoy TV on the Radio as well, they're great.
How is your Winter break going? Excited for Christmas? I know I am, but we have yet to get snow here...they say it may snow Christmas Eve, so we'd have a 'White Christmas' so that would be cool.
thats true, thats true...never thought of it that way. oh i know, i kind of thought he wanted to stay kind of low-key, but when i saw he was going to be on the new moon soundtrack, i was extremely suprised!
it would definatly make my day as well, seeing as how i live in north texas and no one knows anything but country. id have to say i blast it extremely loud on those cold, rainy days...the bon iver mood i call it. but then again...i dont know when im not in the mood for bon iver. hah
haha i know, i was looking up the soundtrack because they usually try to put some, i guess you would call it "indie" artists on there...and it said bon iver. basically i wanted to start crying...hahaha. not really, but when i saw the movie i heard it, and it was good. its on youtube i think, but not sure if its on his myspace account.
oh thats awesome! let me know when you come with some new songs! I'd love to hear them! you're definatly right in saying that more people should listen to him, but id have to say i was pretty depressed to hear he was in the New Moon movie...have you heard it? its good...but its just weird, because he wrote it for the movie. haha

actually i'm movin to nyc and the guys are in grad school so we haven't been playing live, but we're workin on recordings long-distance via the magic of the internet... but dude... im disappointed to hear you talkin about "phasing it out"?!?! you have too much talent to be giving that shit up man, for real... I think I know what you mean about hitting the wall though, I've definitely been through a few slumps myself, sometimes it feels like shit just isnt happening, but if its somethin you really care about, its ALWAYS gonna be there.
