Jalapeno Drums is interested in providing the finest quality drums that money can buy, whilst maintaining sound ethical and environmentally conserving practices.
Personally I like cooking great food (especially curries), drinking great beer and wine, snowboarding and playing drums. Mostly I like hanging out with my friends, family, and cat and dog.
Music
I appreciate all high-quality music, and can admire people's talents and recognise their appeal to others, without necessarily liking their style of music. (Please note, the one true exception to this simply has to be Opera! It is elitist, excruciatingly painful to endure, requires excessive financial support raised from the hard earned tax money of regular people to enable a few rich snobs indulge their musical passions, and has a history of physical mutilation to create mutant performers! Rant over!)
Bands I love to hear and see include: The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad, Duke Special, Primus, Fishbone, Pitchshifter, Sick Of It All, Fire Fly, P.O.D., Suicidal Tendencies, Yfriday, King's X, Galactic Cowboys, Bob Mould, Becky Higg, Jane's Addiction, MxPx and Hayseed Dixie.
Movies
So I Married An Axe Murder, Shawshank Redemption, Bill and Ted, The Usual Suspects, Wayne's World, Corpse Bride, Twelve Monkeys, Green Mile, Big Fish, Sleepy Hollow, Time Bandits, Shaun of the Dead, Big Wednesday, Lord of the Rings, Hannibal Brooks, Pirates of the Carribean, Tideland, The adventures of Baron Munchausen.
Television
Black Books, Peter Kay's Phoenix Night's, Max and Paddy, Spaced, Nevermind the Buzzcocks, Q.I., Have I Got New for You, Vic and Bob, Fast Show, Scrubs, Home Improvement, Swiss Toni, and Murun Buchstansangur.
Books
Peter Kay's "The Sound of Laughter", C.S. Lewis's Cosmic Trilogy, Arthur Daley's Guide To Doing It Right, The Little Book of Calm.
Heroes
Paolo Friere, Saul Allinsky, Antonio Gramsci, Nelson Mandella, Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, and Jesus Christ.
About me:
Hi there!
Thanks for checking out my MySpace page. It's here to keep you up to date and informed with what's going on with both Jalapeno Drums and with my music career. Expect to see adverts for bargain stock clearance drums and kits, as well as news of fourthcoming events I'll be appearing at.
It's nice to be on-board here at MySpace: I hope you like me being here!
David.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who respects people, respects themselves, and respects the planet we live on. I've already met many of the people I admire and hold in high esteem, from famous drummers like Buddy Rich and Louis Belson, to religious leaders, rockstars, and politicians. But I most like to meet ordinary people who become great friends.
hello! i am getting really excited about mi drums! just remind me, (I am blonde!) with the mic-ing up the BD, when you close the front again, where does the mic cable come out? and with the 2 cymbal arms, are they fully adjustable - ah so many questions! excitement!! ps: where shall i send the art for the BD logo? x
Hey Dave, giving you a shout out from all of us at the One Band... You are in our top friends list, and I've added a couple of pictures of the drums / logos etc to our page as well, check them out if you get time. Will be in touch soon. Joel Green
Hey, hope your good?! We're really busy at the moment preparing for gigs and events in the summer, so apologies for the inpersonal nature of this message! We wanted to let you know that we've got a chance to play at V Festival in August, but to do that we need support from our fans. It takes a few minutes, but if you can support us by registering on here http://roadtov. com/artists/shoshin/ and then become a fan of us, we'd really appreciate it!! Hopefully see you at V in August!! Big love Shoshin
Hello Dave, long time not seen. At Eastern the Toy Dolls will be playing at Paaspop Schijndel again, and although Duncan might be a better drummer than you are (bestline-up still is with Marty and K-Cee), I can assure you that I really miss you as td-member. It was always nice to talk to you and drink a beer together. Hope to see you again somewhere sometime. Cheers, Woody

heehee ! thanks again ! very snowy but not boardy ! spent the afternoon in Cheapland indeed (how sad!?) it wasnt bad, but it turned funnier afterwards. at least i now have enough booze and fags to kill the liver and lungs of a whole army...
oh btw, as there was a word i didnt understand in your message i had to look up for it on the internet...so i found out what you meant, but i also accidentally found the most horrible definition ever :) check your email (not something i can paste here) :p
