My name is Jamal Shane , i have been recording music for 20 years now. Performed dozens and dozens of shows and murderd hundreds of ciphers. I came up in the streets of Grand Rapids Michigan, aka Gun Ru. My life has tought me about the game, the gang-bangin , and the hustlin.When i was 12 years old I started my music in my grandmothers basement with my homeboy Rodney Trotter Jr. , we had a group called O-X .. For some kids, it was tight. but since then ive recorded hundereds of songs and learned how to make beats and all the ins and outs of the local musician . When i was 20 i moved to Appleton wisconsin and had some homeys move here with me, like P. Stone. We then started a group by the name of The Northstar M.C.'s of which later changed to The HeatHolders. With Saukar "fat" Mullens on the beats, we were the premier underground group in the midwest. But as egos grow and ideas differ , im back on the solo path now.With a large catalog of solo songs produced by fat i have acquired a unique and individual sound. Ive worked and performed with some of the illest artists around and came to know some majors also, all of which helped me grow as a artist and individual. With my gangbanging years behind me, I now focus my life on my Wife and kids . With music coming in next, of course. Ive learned friends loyalty comes and goes but family is forever.That said and done, ive Never been a big fan of studio gangsters and cats who rap what they wish, not what they know, i am some what of a hip hop purest . But i have much respect for my friends and my foes. See, my lyrics touch everything from politics to the simple pain of heart break to the common street life thats always ever so present in the hip hop world today.And of course the battle rhymes, im that good. All of which i lived or seen with my own eyes. Most who know me will say Jamal Shane is a M.C. to be reckoned with, bold , cocky , intelligent, witty , and not afraid to start controversy just for the sake of hip hop....we have m.c. Jamal Shane aka. dogofj aka j -dog loc .. You can count on me to speak my mind and the truth. Taking no shit from ANYBODY.
