About me: Our Mission is to culminate the efforts of original musicians, fans, and music professionals in the Carolinas and beyond. In too many facets of the music industry there is a gap in connectivity that inhibits the opportunity for even the most gifted of musicians to passionately pursue their dreams. By not recognizing and supporting these artists, a community stifles the development and growth of its music scene as a whole.
Through organized support networks and grass-roots promotion, we will facilitate unique collaborations between our music scene and our community, in an effort to expand individual accomplishments into community gains and incubate a blossoming musical environment, starting with Charlotte, North Carolina.
By creating unprecedented incentive for music-goers and club owners, as well as normally unassociated businesses and organizations to participate in the live music experience, we can explore the benefits that an active and harmonious music scene can have on society.
This will be accomplished in a multi-step process, with each department expanding on the next. We intend to take the time necessary to develop and establish each of these stages, starting with the first, and expanding over time as our efforts mature.
1) Grass Roots Marketing/Publicity
Our first level of action is to create our network of street team reps, which will aid in the development of organized and proactive promotional machines, aimed at targeting people who may not already support live music, as well as overall exposure for the bands, and The Carolina Live Music Society. Offering this network to venues, bands, and agencies will provide expanded coverage to great live events in the Carolinas.
2) Event Production
We will seek out opportunities for original Musicians and local Venues by organizing, sponsoring, and producing live performances. Geared toward local, regional and national artists, we will strive to bring more great music to the Carolinas, thereby bringing more great people out to support it. These events will serve as the grounds for establishing the Carolina Live Music Society as a reputable source for quality music, based on innovation and originality.
3) Fan Incentive System
By organizing a system of incentive for music-goers, we will enhance attendance, and ultimately success, in a way like no other. Through our program, fans will be allotted free admission to numerous events in their area, early access to high-demand tickets, car-pooling options to events, discounts on tickets and merchandise, and many other incentives, designed to immerse members into the music scene in powerful new ways.
4) Musician BenefiFt System
A mechanism to provide independent local musicians with the help and support that is needed to foster artistic growth will be our next endeavor. Included will be not only promotional packages and networking tools, but also unorthodox services that are often very hard to acquire for struggling musicians. Things like health insurance options, music law consultation, grant programs, sponsorship opportunities, and more will bring artistic vision to the front of aspiring musician’s lives, instead of struggle and hunger.
The Carolina Live Music Society intends to implement new strategies to give our music scene a landscape to grow in. To us, live music is an important part of community life, and we want to ensure that the providing artists have the means and recognition to move us forward in music and society.
