"From the moment you step through the heavy drapes into a room with colourful lanterns hanging from the ceiling you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d entered a bar in Berlin’s former East Side..." Gutter Magazine

"...a DIY charm rarely found in the East End today... the music’s great and the drinks are cheap..." ViewLondon

"Serious about music." All in London

"A feeling of intimacy that's rare in London venues." London Tour Dates

"All cosy and home-made bohemian." Kitten Painting Blog

InfluencesAll styles and variations of music from all over the world, from different times of our musical, theatrical past. The advantage of the location enables the venue to have a fullfilling, varied, innovative and respectful space for the musicians/artists to perform to anyone who wants to support the incredible amount of creative talent, that just happens to be on our East London doorstep.

'The Hamlets of the Tower', an area of this old city's past that has left an impression of a mixed, cultured, ignorant, wealthy, impoverished, liberal, homophobic, interacial, racist community. A way of exsisting right between the worlds high flyers of the City and CanaryWharf.

An area rich in social history, our influences are an integral part of what Alastair and Rena are able to achieve, with their love for all that is good and beneficial to the Cable Street area, the evenings can only get better.

Bands and musicians whom played here include: Gypsy madness 15man band the one and only 'THE DESTROYERS' put on by the fantastic Promoter Amanda Rodgers- 'Stranger then Paradise', BLEEDING HEART NARRATIVE, Darsombra, Bo Ningen, The Rippers, HangeeV, Plug, Marie & the Mirrors, Subway Sect, Jeremy Warmsley, John Drain, J.D.Smith, D-66, Lewis Floyd Henry, Mudlow, SMOKEY ANGLE SHADES, Rodeo Massacre, the Vinyl Stiches, Manos de Dios, Frank Doody, Black Cat Bones, Sunny Day Sets Fire, KITE SEASON, TRASH KIT, Ray Rumours, Raymonde Howard, Pseudo Nippon, Stash, The Moon, The Tiny Gods, Bob Constant, Sunlight Service Group, Uramichi, Please, WetDogs..... many more to come...

Sounds LikeA folk club with a garage band in a headlock
