Bio
Originally born on the east coast and lived all over the U.S., moving to California in 1988 and graduating from Newbury Park High School at 15. Left university in the second year to work in computers, working up the ladder into a very successful career in information technology management, most recently as the network manager for the largest life insurance brokerage in the West, servicing the entertainment industry (Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mariah Carey, Barry Bonds, Metallica, etc). After feeling peaked out in the management career, decided to return to college for an advanced degree. Currently taking computer science and electrical engineering courses at UCLA.
My mom started me on the piano when I was 6, teaching me personally. I became proficient in piano and music reading but at the time had not quite developed an affinity for music yet. Later at the beginning of high school, two good friends inspired me to pick up the guitar - and my life changed. For months I didn't even have my own guitar, I started off with a classical nylon-string guitar borrowed from a friend and locked myself in the den, practicing 6-8 hours every night without fail. Then after I had to give the classical back, I borrowed a big hollowbody jazz electric guitar from another friend (which actually belonged to his dad). I pawned off my entire videogame collection at the time for enough money to buy my first guitar amplifier, a solidstate Fender M-80, and more nonstop practicing ensued. Today I still love playing more than ever, and work hard to further myself in musicianship and the art of guitar every day.
