Chanty, Nottingham Forest Football Club, Queen (the rock band) and travelling.
Music
Well, Queen for starters. I have been lucky enough to see Roger Taylor and Brian May in concert and last year I saw Queen and Paul Rodgers in concert.
Totally awesome! If you haven't got the DVD, buy it. It will blow your mind!
I'm also into Maroon 5. It seemed like all the unique voices had been and gone. That we were destined to have to put up with Pop idol clones who all sound the same. The moment I heard the first few lines of Harder to Breathe, I knew that a star was going to shine. Adam Levine. A legend already.
Apart from Queen and Maroon 5, I like all kinds of music. At the moment I am into the Arctic Monkeys, the Killers and Django Reinhardt. My music taste can best be described as diverse or in the words of my girlfriend "crap".
She's in to latin music. She has partially infected me. I am started to really get into reggaeton.
Movies
My favorite film is Clockwork Orange. An absolute classic! You find yourself talking like the people in the film, after watching it.
Television
I always watch the TV, but there isn't really a program that I'd set the timer for if I wasn't going to be home when it was on. Maybe Match of the Day.... or a good music concert. Live 8 was a great day, wasn't it?
Books
Is the TV guide classed a book? if not.... I don't read books..
Heroes
Brian Clough: He took a small club in the second division and made them into European Champions. Something that will never be repeated.
Anyone who has ever fought for our freedom is a hero to me... We should never forget the fighters in the trenches and the young men who died on the beaches of Normandy. I'm glad to say, I don't think the world will ever forget those people.
About me: Hi there people,
Let me introduce myself. My name is James. I was born in Portsmouth (UK) on the 24th of June 1980.
At the age of about 8, I started playing the violin... at the age of 12, I stopped. Realising that football* was were my heart was.
At the age of 12 I moved with my family to Holland. A life-changing experience. I can't imagine my life without it happening. All of a sudden. I was in a school where none of my classmates could understand me. I kept the football career going playing for Voorschoten 97, before moving onto Ajax-SC (no, not the famous Ajax). Unfortunatly, I injured my right ankle and achillies playing in a tournement at my mum's work and that was the end of a (not so) promising career.
I work as a travelagent. Sending people all over the world, while never quite having enough to go myself. Mind you, I am going to Sri Lanka soon on the studytrip.... Not a bad job, don't you agree?
It was while working as a travelagent, I met (and fell head over heels in love with) my girlfriend, Chanty. The most beautiful creation on this planet. She opened my eyes to "real" life and showed me that standing in a goal, in the freezing cold on a Sunday morning in December isn't fun.. Snugglling up to the one you love. That is what life is about.. Those moments.
At the moment, we're in the process of looking for a house. We have written in for one and now it's a question of waiting. Unfortunatly, patience is something Chanty and I don't have. We have already started buying things. We even have a sofa and have just purchased an iron.
Via this website, I hope to put my life on the web. Hopefully, it will be a story with a happy ending.
* = football is soccer (just incase any Americans are reading)
Who I'd like to meet: Osama bin Laden... So, that I could turn that evil, evil man over to the goodies and the huge reward would also come in handy.
hey james, hope you're well. please forgive another shameless plug, i thought it would be nice to go round everyone individually to spread the word...

After the disappearance of Madeleine McCann 3 weeks ago, like a lot of people on Myspace,i wanted to help as much as i could as i have a young daughter myself.
I decided to look at HTTP://UK.MISSINGKIDS.COM which is an official website dedicated to finding missing children of all ages, across the UK,run by the police.
A lot of attention naturally has been focused on Maddy, and rightly so.She is only 4,and the circumstances of her disappearance only add to the fear we all feel when it comes to our kids but looking at the site,i realised that she isn't the only one,not by a long way.
I want to do something, and i think that if all of my friends on Myspace can chose a child from the site, and give their details, post their picture, and raise awareness, then maybe, just maybe, one of you guys can help reunite parents and children, and i don't think any acheivement in life could match that,do you? So take a look at the site, pick a child, and post them on a prominent spot on Myspace.Maybe it might be a child that lives near you,or at the opposite end of the country, please just pick one or two,and help them get home.
If you are a friend of mine from the USA,CANADA,AUSTRALIA or any other country, then have a look at websites based in your home country, and do the same,it takes two minutes to put a pic up,and some details, and it could be the most important pic youve ever published!
