| General | My interests are family, sports, travel, reading, writing, meeting people, gardening, being at the cottage, laughing, having fun, spending time with my grandkids, soccer, history, politics, music, literature | | Music | I grew up listening to the old show tunes my parents listened to. Sinatra was "the man." The Bossa Nova beat from Brazil really grabbed me. I was a drummer in a rock band, so all kinds of rock and r&b, soul...great music from the 60's through to today.
Love Sarah Mclaughlin, Dave Mathews, Rod Stewart, especially the oldies. | | Movies | Caberet, Atonement, The Exorcist, Saving Private Ryan, Ray, plus too many more to mention. | | Television | Deadwood, A Band of Brothers, Saturday Night Live, Desperate Housewives, Hockey Night In Canada. U.S. college football, NFL football. National news and world events. | | Books | I am a military history buff, but I also like romantic adventure novels with a historical theme.
I loved Ian Mcewan's "Atonement."
John Grisham's "Playing for Pizza" was a laugh.
Anything by Jeff Shara, "Gods and Generals" "The Rising Tide."
I also love biographies of intersting people. Ava Gardiner's "Love is Nothing." is a fantastic insight into old world Hollywood. | | Heroes | My dad, Ralph McCreath. |

About me:
Spending time with my family is the number one priority. Being the father of three wonderful daughters and one son has made my life a joy for over thirty years. Now I am also the grandfather to two beautiful granddaughters, and it is the most amazing experience I have ever had.
On a more general level, golf is one of my passions that I took up only a few years ago. Travel is facinating. I enjoy boating in particular.
