Sounds Like
An indie rock baby that was adopted by James Brown and raised on a farm that milked hippos.
We're the prize at the bottom of the cracker-jack box of life. We're that smell in your house that you can't quite find. We give good people a bad name and bad people an even worse name. James and the Douchebags are a musical experience that you can only understand if you see it. We play a loose blend of rock, country, blues, indie, metal, and whatever we feel like. It all comes out fairly rock oriented with a fast pace and a sound that rarely overstays its welcome. In the words of Filthy J, the show is likely to leave your pants with poo in the back and a bulge in the front (and yes even girls have been known to chub up a bit). If that doesn't enchant you, then nothing will. Now make like Cinderella and get to the ball.
About the songs posted: Cougar Plunger is our most recent recording made in some studio that was apparently opened by Willie Nelson. Street Wars and Rome were recorded in our old practice studio. Your Mamma Don't Know is a recording I made with just the guitar and vocals. If you still haven't downloaded Incomplete Lullaby, my first album which sounds nothing like what we do now, you can still get it at www.geocities.com/respectourgenius. Peace.
I started writing music in college and eventually came up with an album or two worth. After a few years of playing in other bands and by myself I picked up Greg on drums and, shortly after, Dan on bass. The three of us are working well together and playing shows pretty frequently, so come by and see us some time.

On a side note, I've been getting a few small comments about the bands name being offensive. You are most definitely entitled to your own opinion. My only reply is a short quote from one of my favorite writers. Hope it opens your mind to the faults of censorship.
"All kind of knowledge whether of good or evil; the knowledge cannot defile, nor consequently the books, if the will and conscience be not defiled." -John Milton
Here is some long awaited footage of us at Emo's outdoor stage. Enjoy!
The new songs sound amazing!!! Can't wait to get my hands on the first official James and the Douchebags CD! Love yall and can't wait for the show tomorrow :)
ah... well we will see about that waffle biddness... ;)
Things are good, besides us being absolutely fed up with our below minimum wage paying job :)
On the flipside I have a few interviews lined up for the next couple of weeks, so things will definitely be turning around soon. I'm pretty determined about that... It is time. Out of all of the "potential" offers i'll hopefully receive; I want to get this one in particular at a nursing home as an "enrichment coordinator" basically hang out with old people all day make them laugh, befriend them, listen to them complain about stuff, and hopefully give them something to look forward to on a daily basis. I always wanted to do something like that so wish me luck with that!
Awwww You and Kim and your family did an amazing job, I think it was pulled together so well because it was all done with love. I couldn't have joined a better family, and I am honored to be a part of it. You are all truly amazing people, and you are the most awesomEST little brother I always wanted I love you very much!!
