Omawi Bling possesses all the necessary qualities to become a real star: the charm to appeal to a young audience, the raw talent to gain respect from the industry, and the energy to stand out from the crowd.
Omalwin Vazquez, born in Orlando, Florida, began to stand out as a rapper before he was even given the nickname “Bling”. Moving to the island of Puerto Rico as a youth, Omawi was recognized at an early age for his innovative rapping style, giving him the opportunity to dive into the music world to achieve his dream; the recording of his first album as a soloist, The Evolution of Cool.
Omawi Bling had his first encounter with music as a teenager during the early 90’s. As a fan of the hip-hop music culture, he discovered his gift to express and communicate through the means of composition. With his extraordinary talent, Omawi then focused on acquiring his own spot in the industry as a hip-hop artist. Through his involvement in several different music engagements and experiences, he came across the growing music of reggeaton.
Contemplating his next move and searching for new opportunities, Omawi moved to New York City where he recorded his first hip-hop demo. The demo received excellent reviews from recognized producers of the industry in Puerto Rico which motivated Omawi to become a distinguished rapper.
In 2007, Omawi Bling joined with James Bahamonde to create the record label “KING PINS RECORDS.” “KING PINS RECORDS” will release Omawi Bling’s debut, The Bling Man, in summer 2008.
The Bling Man presents a diverse proposal to the fans of the Hip Hop genre by mixing a variety of rhythms and lyrics that reflect the street life that Omawi knows so well. Rapping in both English and Spanish, Omawi’s new production includes songs currently playing on radio stations, like “Atakala” and “Tocame en Secreto (Rapture)”, the new sensation. “You Dind't Love Me”, featuring R&B crooner Brian McKnight. Omawi and Brian will star in the video for the track, releasing soon under “King Pins Records”. Among other tunes; “Acariciame”, “Es El Bling, Bling”, “Yo Lo Que Quiero”, “Me Estan Tentando” and “Temblando” are also included on the album. Omawi collaborated with renowned artists such as Tempo Alomar and Roberto Roena, recognized salsa musicians, featured in “Que Murmuren”. Omawi also invites fellow artists Voltio on the track “Ponselo”, Maestro y Tommy Viera for “Tumba El Fronte” and “Esta Noche” joined by Gammy Montana.

If you were to list on a chalkboard the ways by which we become more like Jesus, what would you write? The following might top your list: We became patient. Loving. Sympathetic. Wise. More pure. More sensitive. more discerning.
But in fact, because Christ was sinless, we become most like Him when we sin less. That's why a "hatred of sin" should top the list of qualities that make us most like Christ.
Jesus' primary purpose in coming was to deal with sin and its effects. He sternly confronted the Pharisees. He scolded the crowd about to stone an adulteress. He pointedly reminded the rich young ruler to relinquish his wealth. He even confronted sinful attitudes and actions in those who were dearest to His heart. He admonished His mother. He corrected Martha and then later on, her sister, Mary. He chided doubting Thomas and harshly rebuked Peter.
Jesus squared off against sin because He knew it was the ruin of those He loved. We feel His love most when He makes us most conscious of our rebellion. If you desire to become more like Jesus, if you want to get closer and know Him better, then be prepared to have Him uproot sin from your life.
Little wonder Jesus despised sin. John Bunyan gives insight: "Sin is the dare of God's justice, the rape of his mercy, the jeer of his patience, the slight of his power, and the contempt of his love."
G-D, help me to understand You! because I am truly sensitive to evil - whether around me or inside of me. I forsake my sin and cling to You!

aka Carlos Galavis is a producer/artist residing in Ft. Lauderdale
It Started in 2000; I was an electronic musician producing tracks at my house when I met some promoters for rave festivals. They liked the blend of House and Breaks I was producing. I had my first two dance singles in music stores. I got a call to go to Puerto Rico for a 2000 person event. It was my first show. I had a great time there, when I got back I was booked for ULTRA 2000 from there I traveled nationally from Vegas to California. I preformed at ZEN festivals and all the ULTRAS. I will be performing live at this years Ultra with my partner in crime Mister DJ STORM. It will be a hybrid mix of live instruments including v drums, guitars, synths and vocals with dancers and custom visuals.
In 2003 I got my first shot at the radio game. I met my remix comrade DJ ERIK VELEZ. We started By Remixing NO DOUBTs ITS MY LIFE. As soon as the Program director @ Party93.1FM COX Radio heard the song the staff got approval from INTERSCOPE and put the remix on rotation. Every major radio station in the country along with XM and SIRIUS satellite radio soon followed the hype. The song reached ..1 on the Dance Radio Charts. From there we did a remix for OUTCASTs I LIKE THE WAY YOU MOVE. Then ARISTA contacted us to remix USHERs smash hit YEAH which also reached ..1 for 6 consecutive months on the Dance Remix Charts. KRIYA VS VELEZ became known in the remix world and followed by working with artists including PATTIE LABELLE, CHRISTINA MILIAN, UTADA, MYNT, and GEORGE ACOSTA. Currently we are working on remixes for THE BLACKEYED PEAS.
In 2004 I began working with vocalist Andrea Meneses and formed the group TWENTYFOUR 7. It is an all original project that fuses R&B, & Hip Hop, with a Latin flavor. The group is currently working on their debut album NONSTOP. The group consists of Carlos on vocals, guitar, and keyboard; Andrea on vocals; Julian on drums; Daniel on bass; and two female dancers. We are currently booking shows abroad.
