Hi, I'm James - I've been writing, recording and producing my own music for the past four years. My main interest in music, lies within the recording and production.
I am currently resident sound engineer and producer at Livewire Studio, where I manage the studio as well as take regular sessions with bands/artists.

i live in carbis bay and also went st uny, 1995 - 2000 i think. im 18 if that helps? when were you there?
set up wise i jus want somethin i can jot ideas down with, and mix studio tracks at home, and add the odd overdub.
i been looking at few things like line six gearbox hardware which has got some good guitar plug ins, amp models and xlr inputs, so i can mic my cabs up aswell. also looking at emu hardware and proteus x soundcards, for midi. Ive heard of the motu but i dont really know much about it...

im not doin any paid 'work' in studios atm, although i would love to!
ive used quite a few from the musician side, as im mainly a guitarist, but im currently doing a music degree at uni and i use the studio there a lot from the desk side now. its not too bad either, has an allrite 24 in / out digital mackie desk, nice few racks, and a lot of good mics. uses sx3 though...
im thinking of getting myself a basic home set up and will prob get logic as seems the best option, if i can find it at a good price. will raid sound on sound i think lol
ah rite, im just curious cos i do quite a bit of studio work myself. problem is i use cubase sx3 mainly, and as i thought, it seems that most studios are running logic. not familiar with the progam myself, although i know it has the same features as cubase. must get myself a coppy. cheers man
