GOTO TusconScene.com to find out what shows I've seen of late.................."I didn't realize you wrote such bloody awful poetry."
Where do I start?? I go to about 25-30 shows a month and probably see up to 100 different bands. I would have to update this every day. Just walk up to me and ask. I must admit that I'm a sucker for anything with horns added during the chorus. Latin music...there's another one.
Movies
Anything involving: Wes Anderson, Sergio Leon, Alex Cox, Terry Gillian Martin Scorsese, Kubrick, Coppola, Tarintino(most), Ben Stiller(most), Cohen Brothers, Will Ferrell, John Turturro, Johnny Depp..also Office Space, Donnie Darko, Napoleon Dynamite, Dodgeball, National Lampoon's Vacation, Caddyshack, Hot Wet Summer, Clerks, Stuart Smalley Saves His Family, So I Married an Axe Murderer, Cool Hand Luke, 60's Spaghetti Westerns...I mostly buy Music DVDs. I'd love to see more movies but there's either no time or nobody who wants to go, as you can tell by the lack of variety here. :( I've had $50 in theater gift certificates for about two years. See what I mean....
Television
The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Family Guy, Wonder Shozen, Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld, Hard Ball, Made, Simpsons, Chappell Show, Strangers With Candy, TV Funhouse, Conan O'Brien...ummm...
Books

Heroes
My grandpa, Morrissey, Hunter S. Thompson, that lead singer guy in Cafe Tacuba...ummm....
About me: TucsonScene.com. is my website. Go there and see the monster I've created!
Check out the Tucson Weekly 9 Questions they asked me a while back, or, for articles about my website, TucsonScene.com, check out TucsonScene SXSW Showcase Article in Arizona Daily Star's Caliente,
TucsonScene Benefit Show Interview in Arizona Daily Star Nightbuzz or
Interview (With Crazy-Huge Photo) in Arizona Daily Wildcat on TucsonScene. Or, for a laugh, here's an article I was Quoted in Arizona Daily Wildcat feature about Disco. Yeah, I know, very funny.
To see some articles I've written in local publications recently, besides, of course, the all-consuming website, click on My Tucson Weekly Article Archives. I've got tons of Live Photos in there, but those don't get archived. OK, what else is there?
Otherwise.....Live Music, Politics, Eating Out, Vodka Sodas, Vintage Suits, Skinny Ties, Mexican Beaches, British Music Magazines, Rock En Espanol, Poblano Brand Hot Sauce (Verde), Pins, Semi-acoustic guitars with pearl fretboards for my baby soft hands, collecting art supplies I never have time to use (oil pastels anyone?), Pop Culture, Irony, Laughing and Making Others Laugh Whenever Possible, Hunter S. Thompson, Jon Stewart, Wes Anderson, Morrissey, Chuck Klosterman, Tina Faye, Diego Rivera, Cafe Tacuba, Margaritas Sin Sal, Janene Garafalo, Curb Your Enthusiasm, cruising music blogs and Rescuing Homeless Amputee Puppies. OK, I made that last one up...but I'm game. Turn Offs: ClownMakeup "There's nothing in the past I'd go back for. No reason ever to. As far as I'm aware only Doctor Who can go back in time." --Morrissey
Who I'd like to meet: PEOPLE TO CONTRIBUTE TO TucsonScene.com.
All you wannabe rock critics take note.
"Take me out tonight. Where there's music and there's people and the young and the lively." People that don't mind seeing a live band they've never heard of and don't mind it when I buy rounds. Those who laugh hard and like a good friendly debate. Someone who can translate Cafe Tacuba lyrics for me. To hit the waves (or just the sand with some speakers and suds) with. Oh yeah-again, No Clown Makeup, please.
