Yes, please.
While I'm more alt.rock/rock centric, I'm into just about all pop music except the most American Idolesque, most post-Hank Williams pre-Americana country, and modern R&B lacking real soul or anything beyond recycled 80's beats.
Oh... and if it features anyone who was ever in a boy band within the last 20 years, keep it away. Far, far away.
Television
TV is pick and choose. Current worth seeing:
Battlestar Galactica- without apologies or excuses
Friday Night Lights- The Book was different than the movie which was different than the TV show. All are worth seeing.
Heroes- Appealing actors, good storyline. Hiro rawks.
Lost- Yeah, it's rambling on without point. Enjoy the ride.
My Name is Earl- Karma without pity.
Weeds- Perfect for caching on iPods.
The Wire- go back and watch Homicide, but see what Homicide could have been if it was on HBO
Oh, and watch BBC America. While it has it's moments ( Life on Mars), it also shows that bad TV isn't just an American thing. ( Hex, Mile High anyone?)
Books
Just finished "A Shameful Act", a history of the Armenian Genocide and the creation of the modern Turkish state by Taner Akcam. It's a sober and sorrowful history, well worth the read.
Next up... "On Beauty" by Zadie Smith, followed by "Lenin's Tomb", followed by the new William Gibson, "Spook Country."

You are intelligent, witty, a bit geeky and have great power and responsibility.
Who I'd like to meet: People who I will like.
And like me.
And have puppies. Or kitties.
I mean you don't have to have a puppy or a kitty. You don't lose points if you don't.
