One interest of mine is in creating awareness of international copyright infringement, especially in regards to the song I co-wrote with my friend, Joseph M. Martin, Without Love... We Have Nothing which has been recorded on more than 190 different commercial CDs, more than 30 books/sheet music, being sold as ringtones/digital downloads/e-greeting cards, music videos, etc. It has been recorded in every conceivable musical genre from classical to jazz, rap to CCM, and opera to country.
As of today, we have received virtually no royalties from the world wide use of our song.

About me: SPECIAL NEWS!! I recently returned from visiting Korea in January for the SUNMIN MUSIC 2008 CHURCH MUSIC EXPLOSION. Choi, to anyone in Korea or Koreans abroad who have church music needs! Please take time to view my recent pictures taken on my trip to Korea. My New Piano book published in Korea can be ordered by calling Sunmin Music in Korea at 82-2-422-6999 or by calling their U.S. office at 213-338-8833 in LA.
Thanks for stopping by. Glad you're here!
You're listening to a song that I co-wrote with Joseph M. Martin which has become popular in Korea and around the world entitled, "Without Love... We Have Nothing." "Without Love..." has now been recorded on more than 190 different commercial CDs worldwide! BTW, even though "Without Love..." has a world wide audience, it has not yet been recorded by a U.S. Artist.
I'm the Music Department Chairman at a college in Nashville, TN and am a Free Lance Composer/Writer/Clinician.
I also have a wonderful wife who teaches 2nd grade in the Nashville public schools and a "firecracker" of a daughter going into 3rd grade.

Another thing I'm involved with is in writing articles for Christian Today, London, England where I serve as their Senior Culture and Music Adviser. Some of my recent articles have included topics such as Paris Hilton and the Duke Lacrosse Scandal.
If you are interested learning how to improvise at the piano, please visit my Free Improvisation Downloads for the pianist. All the downloads are completely free and in PDF form.
Have you heard about The Hear and Play Zone?...
This is a fabulous web-site for pianists that allows interaction with other musicians around the world. There are many free lessons and advice to be found, but there are also some great courses created by Jermaine Griggs that are aimed at assisting Christian keyboard players in learning contemporary, gospel styles of playing. To sign up and participate is completely free, although there are some in depth courses that may be purchased for further study.
It's Jd, how have you been? Long time no speak! My album just went up on iTunes. Will you go check it out and leave me a comment? I would really appreciate it :-)
Recently, I added a new song to my music player called, "Always" which might be one of the best songs I've written so far. Tthe chorus was scored for an entire violin section, however, in studio, I had one violinist, Jan "Yes I Can" Sullins. I asked her to single handedly create the sound of a "Hollywood style" string section. This is almost like telling someone, "Please jump rope one handed 10 times while monkeys nip at your feet."
Lucky for me, Jan worked some magic and now you can hear it on track 1 in my music player. It's called "Always" and is from my upcoming album, "Awakening," to be released June 16th.
On this your special day, I pray for you. I pray for smiles and love, for friends that are true. I pray for sunshine, for warmth and tenderness. I pray for unexpected moments of joy and laughter. But most of all, I pray peace for you.
From your friend -
James Todd Johnson

Hiya there, Jamessssssssssssss~! Hope your Christmas is very peaceful and joyful~! LTNC~ As you know, I don't really come here as much as I used to.
