I've got some more Walter & Perry 'Home Movies' hijinks below in the TV section . . .

Shortly after three eight-year-old boys were found mutilated and murdered in West Memphis, Arkansas, local newspapers stated the killers had been caught. The police assured the public that the three teenagers in custody were definitely responsible for these horrible crimes.
The same police officers coerced an error-filled confession from Jessie Misskelley Jr., who is mentally handicapped. They subjected him to 12 hours of questioning without counsel or parental consent, audio-taping only two fragments totaling 46 minutes. Jessie recanted it that evening, but it was too late Misskelley, Jason Baldwin and Damien Echols were all arrested on June 3, 1993, and convicted of murder in early 1994.
Although there was no physical evidence, murder weapon, motive, or connection to the victims, the prosecution pathetically resorted to presenting black hair and clothing, heavy metal t-shirts, and Stephen King novels as proof that the boys were sacrificed in a satanic cult ritual. Unfathomably, Echols was sentenced to death, Baldwin received life without parole, and Misskelley got life plus 40.
For over 12 years, The West Memphis Three have been imprisoned for crimes they didn't commit. Echols waits in solitary confinement for the lethal injection our tax dollars will pay for. They were all condemned by their poverty, incompetent defense, satanic panic and a rush to judgment.

Music

Yes...I'm a Dream Theater whore...deal w/ it :0)

*****

I listen to literally *everything*. I believe that if you hear a piece of music and you like it, then it's good. If I hear the same piece of music, but, I don't like it, it doesn't mean that it isn't good. (Now, if you want to debate whether something's "important" or "socially relevant", that's another matter . . .) That's what is so incredibly amazing about music. It's a completely different experience for each individual, yet, we can all still connect with one another.

Here's some of my faves:

Dream Theater (and related side projects); Pink Floyd; Yes; Rush; Led Zeppelin; Black Sabbath; The Beatles; Eric Clapton (Cream; Derek and The Dominoes; etc.); Bob Marley; Genesis; Emerson, Lake, and Palmer; The Velvet Underground; King Crimson; The Flower Kings (and related side projects); KISS; Stone Temple Pilots; Phish; The Grateful Dead; Aryeon/Star One; Symphony X/Russell Allen; Spock's Beard/Neal Morse; The Who; IQ; Renaissance; Extreme; Dire Straits; Van Halen; Queen; Jackson Browne; J.D. Souther; Gram Parsons; The Rolling Stones; Bob Dylan; James Taylor; Joni Mitchell; The Police/Sting; Tori Amos; Ani DiFranco; Dillinger Escape Plan; David Bowie; Big Wreck/Thornley; Jeff Buckley (R.I.P.); Queensryche; Radiohead; Elvis Presley; Johnny Cash; Black Widow; Green Day; Black Flag; Circle Jerks; GWAR/DBX; Iron Maiden; Mercyful Fate/King Diamond; Pantera (Dimebag - R.I.P.); Ozzy Osbourne; Dio; Rainbow; Deep Purple; Uriah Heep; Todd Rundgren; Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young; The Allman Bros. Band; Jethro Tull; Frank Zappa/The Mothers; Miles Davis; Dean Martin; Frank Sinatra; Louis Prima; Albert King; Furry Lewis; Dimmu Borgir; System Of A Down; Eagles; Matisyahu; King's X; Living Colour; Juliana Hatfield; Clutch; Avenged Sevenfold; Tool; The Mars Volta; The Flaming Lips; Butch Walker; JETLINER; Wolfmother; Tenacious D . . .

Movies

I love movies, although I don't really take the time to enjoy them like I used to. The older I get, the more ADD I've become. I think it's because of my fear of death and that I'm trying to squeeze in as much as possible before my time is up . . . but, enough of that shit . . .
I'm mainly a comedy guy or if it has something to do with music, but, I do like some oddball stuff, (foriegn, horror, martial arts, anime films)

Some of my faves:

All of the Monty Python movies; The Naked Gun series; Star Wars series; The Lord Of The Rings trilogy; The Matrix trilogy; Indiana Jones series; anything w/ Eddie Izzard in it + all of his stand-up shows (if you've never seen any, go get 'Dressed To Kill', piss yourself laughing, then go get the rest of his stuff . . . I guarantee you'll love it or I'll buy it back from you); A Clockwork Orange; Dr. Strangelove; Up In Smoke; National Lampoon's Vacation series; Caddyshack; Modern Problems; Foul Play; Seems Like Old Times (ok, so, I like Chevy Chase . . . whadda 'bout it?); Amadeus; Hot Stuff; Grandma's Boy; Superbad; Smokey and The Bandit (I'll watch the sequel, but, get that third one away from me!); Lethal Weapon series; Demolition Man; The Godfather series; Labryinth (When I grow up, I wanna be The Goblin King); The Dark Crystal; The Muppet Movie; The Muppets Take Manhattan; The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie; The Looney Looney Looney Bugs Bunny Movie; Daffy Duck's Fantastic Island (did I mention that I like cartoons? Especially Warner Bros. . . . MGM, too); Bedknobs And Broomsticks; The Sword And The Stone; Robin Hood (Disney Animated version); Who Framed Roger Rabbit?; Waterbabies; The Devil's Advocate; Legend; Excalibur; The Princess Bride; Bill Cosby - Himself; Night Of The Living Dead + the rest of the 'Dead' series; The Devil's Rain (I love bad horror films!); Xanadu (ok . . . I like bad films in general . . . I'm a big fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000 . . . see below for a clip from 'Pod People'); Mitchell; Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band; Yellow Submarine; The Great Escape; The Dirty Dozen; Cat Ballou; Hellraiser; The Exorcist; The Last Waltz; The Wall; THX 1138; House of 1000 Corpses; Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1 & 2; Akira; TRON; Fantastic Planet; Logan's Run; Enter The Dragon; Hero; Seven Samurai (actually, *all* of Kurosawa's movies); Citizen Kane; The Third Man; Cloak & Dagger; The Gate; Fritz The Cat; 9 To 5; Spacecamp; WarGames; The Goonies; The Manhattan Project; Night Of The Comet; Boogie Nights; Magnolia; Monster In A Box; Gray's Anatomy; The Big Lebowski; Strange Brew; Where The Buffalo Roam; Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas; Brazil; Time Bandits; anything that Kevin Smith does (did he just say "Making fuck"?); every Mel Brooks movie, but, especially: Young Frankestein, Blazing Saddles, Silent Movie, High Anxiety, Spaceballs, and History Of The World Part I;

If you haven't seen Paradise Lost 1 & 2, then you need to . . . *PLEASE* VISIT HERE for more info about the West Memphis Three

There is also a dedicated MySpace page . . . PLEASE ADD THEM TO YOUR FRIENDS LIST TO HELP RAISE AWARENESS

Television
R.I.P. MST3K

Don't watch as much TV as I used to, and when I do, it's usually either cartoons, the History Channel, Discovery Science, or VH1 Classics. Also, my peak TV viewing times are something like 3am to 6am, and then, I usually pop in a DVD. Otherwise, all I watch is football, (Cincinnati, Green Bay, several college teams as well), soccer, (Manchester United), and NASCAR . . .

Here's some more Walter & Perry:

Some of my other faves, (most of which, I own on DVD):

Home Movies; Harvey Birdman; Sealab 2021; Frisky Dingo; South Park; CSI (Las Vegas only . . . I'll watch the New York show, but, I *can't stand* David Caruso, so, therefore, I refuse to watch the Miami series); NCIS (Pauley Perrette is one of my future ex-wives); Lie To Me (gotta love Tim Roth); Dollhouse; Legend Of The Seeker; Family Guy; The Simpsons; Cosby Show; The Golden Girls; LINGO; Iron Chef (Japanese version); The Twilight Zone (original series); Guiding Light (I'm a *musician* . . . when you don't have cable, Soap Operas are the only thing on worth a shit during the day . . . sad innit? Last episode *EVER* September 18, 2009); Star Trek/Next Generation (those are the only two I ever watched); Monty Python's Flying Circus; Black Adder; Are You Being Served?; The State; Reno 911!; Chappelle Show; Fawlty Towers; The Prisoner; Charmed (Rose McGowen is *another* future ex-wife); Mr. Bean; Rowan Atkinson's one man show; The Young Ones; The Thin Blue Line; Father Ted; The Honeymooners; Miami Vice; Crime Story (the *only* thing I'll watch w/ David Caruso); The Sopranos; Nash Bridges; Married, With Children; That 70's Show; House; The Venture Bros.; He-Man and the Masters Of The Universe ("By the power of Greyskull, bitches!"); The Muppet Show; Emmet Otter's Jugbnad Christmas (RIVER-BOTTOM NIGHTMARE BAND!); The Electric Company; Fraggle Rock; Metalocalypse (*BRUTAL*); Beavis & Butt-Head; That Metal Show!

Books
Love to read. I'll read just about anything, (mysteries, biographies, history, etc.) . . . here's some of my fave authors:

Stephen King; Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.; J.R.R. Tolkien; Douglas Adams; Robert Ludlum; Jack Kerouac; Clive Barker; Terry Brooks; James Patterson; Robert Heinlien; Ray Bradbury; Frank Herbert; C.S. Lewis; J.K. Rowling; Bernard Cornwell; Peter Guralnick; Neal Peart; Hunter S. Thompson; Clive Cussler; and my new fave, Terry Goodkind . . .

. . . and, I can't remember the author's names, but, the books: 'Who Is Bugs Potter?'; and, 'Bad Fall' . . .

. . . and the 'Time' series of books by Madeleine L'Engle; 'The Prydain Chronicles' by Lloyd Alexander; 'The Chronicles of Narnia'; 'The Boxcar Children' series; 'Charlie & The Chocolate Factory' and 'The Glass Elevator'; and 'Harriet The Spy' and it's sequel that I'm blankin' on the name of right now . . .

these last choices are all books that I haven't read probably in 15+ years, (apart from 'The Prydain Chronicles', and the 'Narnia' books, [which, thanks to the movie are all in one volume now], which I've re-purchased and re-read), but, they've always stuck w/ me . . . I'd love to find copies of all of those again someday and re-read them and share them w/ my daughters :-)

you picked the Vikings to win?!?! Traitor. I have that same problem with the Browns and Steelers. Not much of a Steelers-hater, hate the Ravens much more.
I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about the whole my Packers vs. my Favre issue, so I just kind of "let it happen" and tried to just pay attention to what I was feeling as it happened. I was a bit surprised, I stayed loyal to the Packers almost entirely. Minnesota does have a great team and they are a lot of fun to watch. But right now I'm still bitter, so screw them too. Jared Allen in particular. He dropped Aaron Rodgers about 5 times, I could have leaped through the TV and choked him.
Speaking of hate, the song I picked for your Bengals was Nine Inch Nails' "Piggy".  I hope the drums in that song make Chad JOHNSON's ears bleed... who dat? ;)

I take it you survived that game??  I don't know about you, but I'm bloody miserable. However, I did prove to myself that I am a bigger Packers fan than I am a Brett Favre fan and I wasn't always too sure of that.

BTW, screw your Bengals. They've beaten both my Browns and my Packers and I am not amused...I'm gonna find a totally hateful song and post it on my Facebook page as a dedication to the Cincinnati freakin' Bengals for doing such a great job of ruining my season...
