Music
Given how prevalent a factor this topic is in my life, this makes for a rather complicated prompt. But I'll handle it a little bit at a time--for now, only preferred genres of music, the most useless frame of reference. I strongly dislike talking about genres since they're so broad and generally unhelpful, but better this for now than listing 400 artists, 1000 albums, or 6000 songs, right?
Bear in mind the obvious, though. I don't like everything I hear from these genres, nor does it imply that any unlisted genres contain zero music I enjoy. The only way to know exactly what I like is to peruse what I have. I only have what I like. I like everything I have.
Progressive rock (i.e. prog)
Black/Death metal
Jazz
R.I.O. ("Rock in opposition")
Solo/Duo piano
M-BASE
Metal
Pop

Progressive metal (i.e. prog metal)

Movies
I love virtually every movie I see (I cease to think critically while in movie mode, so every basic plot twist is a great surprise), so a movie I don't like must be REALLY bad. Here's some I like a lot:
I don't watch much TV, and if I do, it's usually because there is a movie on, but I used to watch these at some point:
Family Guy
The Simpsons
Buffy: The Vampire Slayer
Joan of Arcadia
Animal Planet
The Fairly Oddparents
Johnny Bravo
Come to think of it, the "television screen" in my life is my Gameboy Advance SP. It's the ultimate toy for kids, adults, college students, and anyone younger or older than 20. So pay to homage to my special electronic love, here's my list of now-playing and must-play games for GBA:
Currently playing:
Megaman 1-6
You must play:
Final Fantasy IV Advance
Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls
Zelda III: A Link to the Past/Four Swords
Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Sword of Mana
Wizards and Warriors I, II, III
Books
This is more "reading" than it is "books". For this, I apologize.

Peaceseeker's doctrine:
I search for a peace within myself, because peace is not something that can be found through the control of things outside my mind and body. I explore the wholeness of my own being, a reflection of the perfection I see in the world, a projection of the perfection of my own existence. I recognize the phenomenon behind the singular force that is both projection and perception. I recognize the purpose of my dreams: they seek to communicate to me the status of my relationship with myself. I recognize that the world itself is also but a dream that I can observe to discover the true me. I realize that my love for myself is validated by my love of the world around me, which is validated by my love for myself. I realize that anger, shame, frustration, envy, greed, and accusation against the world are always and exactly a projection of my own denied guilt. I have come to understand a division in my mind and in all minds, a split between a biological world that is natural, free of judgement and the demarcations of right and wrong, bad and good; and a world of social influence governed by human intent, wherein I have been raised to believe that perfection and wholeness, love, trust, and peace are all illusions to trick me into believing that I can circumvent the reality of my injuries and limitations. And I have come to understand that this social influence is itself the projection of injured minds, and I have discovered the truth: that this injury is the one true illusion that attempts to separate me from the wholeness and flawlessness of my own nature. I seek to transcend socialization and rediscover heaven in my own mind, and to find a peace that cannot be distracted and cannot be broken.
I lead the life of an apprentice, mentoring others who seek guidance, and I place value in accessibility. Thus I can be found everywhere, even online. I have a Myspace, but the majority of my journaling entries will go be found in Xanga. If you want to discover me via my previous profiles, look me up. I'm everywhere. Google me as any of these names: Jamie Calame, CalamityJames, Jfkcal, jcalame; I might just be the most accessible ordinary Internet user, ever. Here's my Xanga profile to start. That profile was trimmed down by the Xanga management for being too long, and when it was full length, it was that much funnier. Still, it's funny, for I love to make funnies.

So it turns out that I DO have to work later tonight. If you could postpone your birthday for a day or two, that would be swell. :) I'm gonna get you a CAKE, but that's a surprise. Shhh!
My friend got the plane tickets now I just have to pay her back and pay for everything else lol. But at least I'm booked to go. There was a comment on there to just be nice and help us have fun without doing gross things lol
That sounds nice,I'll let you know. My boyfriend's sister's bday is that day, but I don't know if they're doing something for her. I will let you know though =)
