Brisbane based singer/songwriter Jamie Delko began writing songs when he was 19, a few years later he made the decision to go in a different direction and focus on various business ventures. However with the love of music constantly calling Jamie has decided to put everything else on hold and focus on his music.
To kick-start 2009 Jamie released a self-titled EP. To help the EP come to life Jamie enlisted the amazing Brendan Radford to take care of the guitars and mandolin, Nathan Seiler to look after the keys and Frisco Piper for the Bass.
The first single titled Like Only A Cowboy is best described as just a really fun love song.
“This song was really fun to write, it’s about breaking away all the layers and saying hey this is what is going on. It’s a guy who has fallen for this girl and he’s saying you know I don’t have much, and I can’t sing like Elvis but I will love you.”
Recently Jamie has been writing with some of Australia's best writers including Alan Caswell, Kevin Bennett, Bill Chambers, Michael Fix and Brendan Radford.
