Jamie was born in Westerly, RI and raised in Mystic, CT and he is now living in Franklin, MA where he has been teaching music at Jefferson Elementary school for 9 years. He also currently teaches at Davis Thayer elementary school and the historic Brick School, and provides private guitar instruction as well.
His interest in music began with a very musical family and was then furthered by piano, singing, and clarinet lessons at a young age. When he later discovered the guitar, there was just no turning back. Jamie went on to play in school productions and jazz bands and began gigging in night clubs before he hit the drinking age. He went on to play in several bands throughout New England.
He attended a number of different schools for music, such as Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA, Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, E.C.S.U. (where he earned a B.A. in Music Performance), and UMASS/Boston (where he received his certification to teach music). He is currently taking online music courses through Boston University for his Master's in Music Education.
Jamie continues to write songs for both his school's curriculum and himself.
He loves to perform and can be seen many times a year at local libraries and coffee houses.
