   About Jamie Howell
I'm a guitarist living in Reading, Berkshire in the UK. I've been playing since 1985 and having started playing along to Queen, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC LPs I moved on to playing in local Blues/Rock bands where I grew up on the Isle of Wight. My musical horizons began to broaden and I went on to study Jazz at Leeds College of Music for 3 years. A five year stint living in Budapest gave me some great musical experiences - in particular the Tea Thieves - not to mention a wife and a second language.

Since returning to the UK in 2002 I have been involved in a number of projects including mFISH, Mel Stempinski, BassDrum, The Jamie Howell Jazz Trio and my own Blues/Funk band The Jamie Howell Band.

I have also started recording and producing Rob Lester. I contributed electric guitar, bass, engineering and production to the tracks on his site.

In March 2008 I set up the Reading & Wokingham Jazz Jam which I run and perform at with my own jazz trio once a month.

No, I don't live there - yet... :-)
I really hope I can do that soon.

Your music is great, I don't think I've told you yet. :-)

I think i'm ready to return! maybe with an acoustic session vibe, just some light guitar, bass & drums, which would suit fabio.
What do you think?
