Influences
Jamie hails from the great frozen tundra of Wisconsin, USA. With a BA in International Political Economics and an MS in Broadcast Journalism, Jamie's logical career endeavor was to travel the world playing piano! Music has taken Jamie to over 40 countries, but she loves most her homeland where she has played in R&B, cover, and high-end corporate bands from coast to coast. While in the land of cheese and more cheese, Jamie plays with funk band Fat Brass Inc. and big band Bay City Swing, along with freelancing local piano lounges, private parties, weddings, and festivals either solo or with her trio. Jamie has also performed at 5-star hotels such as the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka and Grand Hyatt Seoul where she has entertained many dignitaries such as former US President Jimmy Carter and British Prime Minister John Major. Her albums "Dark Honey" and "Just Havin' Fun" are available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody, CD Baby, Lala and eMusic and are debuting on radio stations in Portugal, Spain, Macedonia, and South Korea. -
