Jamie Marie hails from the small, historic town of Chadds Ford, PA where her larger-than-life ambitions have led her on a road filled with music, singing, dancing and acting. Jamie began her career with dance courses at age three which evolved into courses in the musical theatre.
She is set to release her full-length debut album this summer 2009. Her album is chock-full of rambunctious, exuberant Pop songs which also veer into other genres such as Rock, Country and Dance.
“Some songs are just plain fun,” she explains, “but a lot of them are about personal experiences and situations I’ve been in.” Her slower, more thought-provoking and emotional songs regularly draw comparisons to Country-Pop star Taylor Swift.
Jamie has entertained audiences far and wide with her many talents. She has appeared in nearly 20 musicals, competed in various events including “America’s Got Talent,” “Delco Idol” and the Gospel Music Association’s Music in the Rockies Festival. She also appeared and was one of the top five finalists on the talent-based reality-TV program “Triple Threat.” Throughout it all, her main love has been to appear and work for Disney.
“I’ve been attracted to Disney since I could remember. I am the only one of my friends that STILL watches the Disney Channel,” she laughs. “I’m a kid at heart which is why my music is more family friendly. I like to think of myself as a good role model, and I would LOVE to be a role model for as many kids and teens as possible!”
