Jamie has been making music since he was a little kid. It began with improvising on the piano, banging on homemade drum kits made from saucepans and plastic buckets, and singing in three-part harmony with his mum and brother.
Since then he has written for anything and everything, ranging from rock bands, small vocal groups and chamber ensembles up to full symphony orchestras and choirs. At one concert he had 135 people on stage playing a piece he'd composed.
In 2006 Jamie, together with his band The Scholars, performed two sellout shows with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, playing the music of Radiohead, Muse and Jeff Buckley alongside Jamie's own music.

In 2007 Jamie collaborated with the Hilltop Hoods, composing the orchestral score for the album The Hard Road: Restrung. The album subsequently went on to win the "Best Urban" Aria Award and achieved gold record status.
Jamie has also arranged orchestral tracks for Tex Perkins (Beasts of Bourbon) and Tim Freedman (The Whitlams) and has played as a session muso for countless Australian artists.
Jamie is currently working on material for a solo album to be released at the end of 2008.
