A dry dusty northerly wind sweeping accross the Australian countryside while dreaming of walking through a Highland Glen. Music to listen to in front of a blazing fire with good friends and loved ones.
Jamie's music is born from his deep love of the Scottish
Highlands mixed With a touch of good old Aussie tounge in cheek.
Jamie's approach to music is instinctual, heartfelt, and inspired.
His music asks his listeners to not only sit back and enjoy but also to feel.
Jamie's first song Dail Chuinnidh is a romantic and heartfelt ballad of life and love.
His debut CD is scheduled for release in 2009.
Jamie has had an extensive and varied career in the music and
entertainment industry
over a 20 year period. He has worked with many local Adelaide bands mixing their sound
for live gigs. Now Jamie has decided to step up from behind the mixing desk, grab his guitar and tell a few stories.
The inspiration for Jamies' music and lyrics comes from the countryside that surrounds the town of Strathalbyn where his lives with his wife, artist and poet Tikarma Vodicka.

Jamie also played tenor drum for the Mount Barker Caledonian Society Pipes and Drums for a few years before setting off on his own musical career.
Aside from guitar and tenor drum, Jamie also plays the harmonica, tin whistle, keyboards and does all his own arrangements.
Jamie aims to share with the listener his love of the Scottish Highlands and the Australian countryside, drawing them into his world of tall tales, old world magic and grass roots music.
So pour yourself a whisky...or a beer...pull up a comfy chair and take sometime to explore and enjoy the sounds of Jamie McPherson.

Super folksy! You've got a lot of old school influences that play out into your style. Pretty sweet sounds...Road of Bones sounds like a lot of fun! I liked the first song on the player a lot too, but it keeps cutting off and going to something else lol. At least I got to hear something this time!

Good set last night at Macrocarpa, Jamie, thank you for performing, and the best for today's gig too. Yes, I think a sink-the-boots-in session on the Murray would be worthwhile thinking point. We need to find a few more who've done something in despair. Lost Beyond Recall is the Lakes, you need to hear Flign Tadpole and Let's SHoot a Camel or Two.~!
Just stoppin' bye to say "hello". I hope you're doing well, and hey, I see you have some upcoming live shows---that's awesome! Let me know how they go.
