Sounds Like
Indie pop songs about fun things in life and strange social situations, with a quirky twist, played live solely on acoustic guitar and vocals (on record with additional backing instruments). Older songs deal with issues to do with heartbreak and romance. Live performances have a more fun side with cover songs alongside originals mixing classic Indie covers with fun sing-a-longs, including The Lion King favourite, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight".
Jamie took up playing guitar after his degree at Blackpool University, due to a combined love of music and acoustic guitar songs and the local music scene, he started writing songs in 2005 and self produced early album, "Wolf Cry", this albums theme mainly featured heartbreak, love and romance. In 2006 Jamie started to get recognised by local and some national press, although most of his touring was local. In 2007 he has recorded a lot more cheerful songs and sings about themes from the heart and issues he cares about. He is starting to get a following in Middlesbrough which is dubbed "Sample Mania", he has performed at venues that would normally only put on a full band, even singing Happy Birthday to Club NME at The Empire one of Middlesbrough's largest and historic music venues. He is currently finishing off a concept album about King Arthur entitled - "Arthur: Once and Future King", this is due to a love of both history and also mythical / fantasy characters. You can hear songs from "Arthur: Once and Future King" on the player now, it will be available in September self-released and available at gigs.
