Born in North Carolina, 22 year old, Jamie has been singing and performing since the age of 4. Her first on stage performance was at Santa Fe Rose then the premier country venue in Central North Carolina. Like many of today’s artists, while growing up she sang in church and community choirs and acted and sang in school dramas.
For High School, she attended Salem Academy in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where she focused on music. While there, she participated in their well known Glee Club and Spirit Ensemble, which led her to Europe where she performed in the London New Year’s Day Parade as well as the Gala Concert Series celebrating the Queen’s Golden Jubilee in Westminster Central Hall, London.
Jamie has a distinct sound that can go from classical pieces to traditional country. She is comfortable singing in Westminster hall and a southern honky tonk!
In 2008, she was graduated from Western Carolina University, Summa Cum Laude, with a degree in Psychology. She says, “I guess a degree in Psychology prepares me for the complexities of the music business and the life stories the music tells!”
Jamie is new to songwriting and her single, Daddy, Let’s Dance marks her first songwriting cut and her first release! The song was co-written by Jamie and debuted at her wedding in April of 2009. Jamie married her high school sweetheart, Tommy Tate and they now live in Cary, North Carolina. In September 2009, Jamie released "I'm One Beer Away From Loving You." It is being played on the radio, internet, and in clubs all over.

Hi, I'm Jamie. I was born and raised in North Carolina. I have been singing since I was little. First sang with my dad on stage at the age of 4! I remember him sayin right before we went on, "now, try to remember the words." or "when we get off stage, everyone is going to want to talk to you and take your picture." It was at that young age that I began performing. I loved it, I still love it, and I will always love it.
So, I spent my younger years doing well in school, but always doing something with music. I have traveled all over the world, and sang in a lot of interesting places.
After I graduated college(this past dec 08) I got married to my high-school sweetheart, Tommy Tate (April 09), and released my first single shortly after it debut at my wedding! That was cool because no one knew I had been recording it, not my mom(who helped plan all the aspects of my wedding) or even my soon-to-be husband.
After recording it in Nashville, I was hooked. It took one trip, my first trip, at the age of 21 and I knew that I was meant to be there! Just a few trips later, I recorded "I'm One Beer Away From Loving You." That is a really fun song! But, just to show you how hard I really do work...Tommy and I are going to Law-School! That's right, this country girl is going to get an edumacation!! haha No, seriously.. it is going to be a tough balance, but I work very well under pressure!
Let's see..what else.. hum.. I love pickles, ketchup, and BOOTS! I absolutely love Boots! I am workin on my collection. Keep checkin back because I am going to start postin some pics of my wild boots! haha
I love scenic views, the sound of the ocean, animals, swimming, and much more. I am really just a normal girl!

My friends here on myspace for the most part know me for the music side of my life. I support musicians, some think of me as an author and technical advisor in various publications, I consult for various amplifier manufacturers, answer questions on music forums and support about 15 major touring acts on an ongoing basis.
I am now adding another segment to my activities; support of the homeless. If you are reading this you are probably on a computer. The people I have been working with since December of this year have no computers and generally have no roof over their head.
