ITS all about the love of music. I tried every instrument and sucked.I developed an appreciation for talented musicians.
I started following a band called the Urban Shakedancers when i was about 18. I used to see them as as i could. They got pretty big. I became good friends with them. When they opened for the black crowes 1st tour I was on the guest list.Ever since then I have gotten friendly with bands I like.I have worked with hundreds of bands since then.I always try and make sure the band is given what they are promised. That's the motto I believe in!
First I began helping friends. Then i sstarted booking music at scores, then buckhead random club, carnival, and hole in the wall.I was at least showing a little profit for the shows. Then well known atlanta musician,Bill Fleming suggested i go to Somber Reptile a largely punk crowd.I brought my brand of music and developed a house band Ghosttrane along the way.Unfortunately the owner was doing to well.I next went to a redneck dive called Jakes Roadhouse.I booked bands for about 9 months. Then I tried a place called players, just n't get it going where it needed to go.Then i booked a place called shakedown street until they closed.finally i am back to jakes and peachtree tavern.I have kept good relations with all bands and promoters the whole time.I have been working with donna hopkins since 1986.I am now also working with Deep blue sun.I general promote between 15-20 shows a month via a weekly newsletter.
My new record just came out this week on I-Tunes and CD Baby. I have included a video talking about the record, hope you enjoy it! Please leave us some feedback to let us know what you think! Thanks for your support.
