I-SIS Radio was started in January, 2006, but was first brainstormed in 2003. The inspiration behind I-SIS Radio is to feature women DJ's more prominantly and not only as sidekicks. In all my years of working in radio, I have learned that this is still a very male-dominated business, where women are not given a very fair shake. It is changing, but only a little. Without any man-bashing, this is an outlet for women in broadcasting and production in radio. My next project, "The Ladies of I-SIS", will feature a diverse group of female on-air talent where we will play music, and discuss everything from music, to world events, to health issues, to other important topics, but no Hollywood gossip....well, maybe just a few jokes, but nothing ad nauseaum. I want to feature strong female talent, to show the world that we are more than just sidekicks for male on-air talent. We have a voice, too.
The music selections for I-SIS Radio ..Caster are the BEST Independent artists from coast to coast and around the world...the Stars of tomorrow!! And now, I-SIS Radio is on Live 365 with a number of shows with different formats...an eclectic mix with a wide range of pop/rock and R&B, from the '70s, '80s, '90s and the present, featuring artists from yesterday and today, but no boy bands, or bubblegum pop...nothing that's middle-of-the-road or manufactured!
