BIO
Collymore’s EP “The Garden”, a melodic tribute to synth pop with alternative & folk undertones, showcases a pop singer-songwriter’s sensibility with dynamic vocals, introspective lyrics, and a collection of entirely self-produced tracks.
Born in L.A. and raised in Colorado, her interest in music traces back to her childhood in the form of classical piano lessons, recitals at Pepperdine University, and exposure to a variety of music genres at an early age. “My parents listened to a lot of classical, soul, & soft rock. Grew up listening to Mozart, Enya, and dancing to Michael Jackson videos in our living room.” A move to the Midwest marked her first significant experiences with racism and social isolation, but laid the groundwork for exploration of self through poetry and led to her appreciation of Rock & Metal genres.
She didn’t start her music career until her 20s as she was busy building a name for herself in a vastly different field: Sports. A 3-Time college All-American and member of the USA Women’s National Volleyball Team, she began playing volleyball for the University of Florida Gators in 2002. In her college dorm she picked up guitar, began songwriting and producing, citing the creative process as a “nice counterbalance to athletics.”
Collymore took a hiatus from sport in 2007 and began pursuing music professionally, playing folk songs in the coffeehouses of Seattle & fronting rock bands. In 2008 she had the opportunity to open for The Presidents of the USA, Sir Mix A Lot, & Outtasite at some of Washington’s premiere venues, including The Showbox & Napavine Ampitheater and won 1st place in MovieBigShot’s 2008 songwriting contest for her single “Red Moon’.
She began competing again 2010 & rejoined the National Team in California. She has modeled in print/ TV ads for Underarmour Sportswear, Northwest Health Magazine, & T-mobile.

Life is an allowance, an award, a present that gives and takes. Courage is the release to a lock of hair that flows and blows in free laws of chaos and understanding. The universe is filled with music to this demon of angelic start and anonymous grace. Want and pain are quelled by the magic connecters who share their love for these rhythmic resonances of harmony and pace. Tears are swept away. Half grins are brought to full gleeful smile when reading your response. To those who share our love for music, prey we always hear. To my gifted, talented artists who place their sounded works for us all to embrace; I hope you realize that my words could never express how much you mean to these ears without a face. jane...well you know how i feel girl...your talents are gifts
