Bio
Collymore’s self-produced EPs “The Garden” & "Wasteland Sailor" merge memorable hooks & quirky style with dynamic vocals & swirling melody. Born in L.A. and raised in Colorado, she grew up taking classical piano lessons & dancing to Michael Jackson videos in her living room. A move to the Midwest at age 10 marked experiences with racism & social isolation, but laid the groundwork for exploration of self through poetry and led to her appreciation of Rock & Alternative music.
Standing at 6'0" and a member of the USA Women’s National Volleyball Team, she taught herself guitar & programming in college as a University of Florida Gator athlete. She began songwriting/ producing in her dorm at age 19, citing the creative process as a “nice counterbalance to athletics.”
During a hiatus from sport in 2007, she hit the Seattle music circuit, fronting different Rock bands & playing solo Folk/ Acoustic shoes in coffeehouses while running electronic backing tracks off her laptop. In 2008, she opened for The Presidents of the USA & Sir Mix A Lot at some of Washington’s premiere venues, The Showbox & Napavine Ampitheater, and won 1st place in MovieBigshot's National songwriting contest. She has also done fit/ commercial modeling in national print & TV ads for Underarmour Sportswear, Northwest Health Magazine, & T- Mobile.

Hugs, Kim =)
