About Me: I am a Yoga Teacher, a Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner, a Children's Yoga Teacher and a student of this fantastic life. I am honored to work with others' in their healing process and grateful for each encounter. So much healing is needed and I am blessed to be a part of this sacred work. I can see that the children coming in are very bright and capable of deep insight. I feel it is the responsibility of the elders to guide, nurture and love them ~ cultivating community, mutual respect and depth of life experience.
My deepest gratitude for all the enlightened teachers, beautiful students and loved ones who have illuminated my steps along the path. Thank you for awakening me and allowing me to live my truth.
Om Namah Shivaya.
I dedicate this page in memory of my Dad. Your great love, sacrifice and constant flow of affection has been a beacon in my life ~ ~ ~ until we meet again, Beloved Father.
Who I'd like to meet:
I'd like to Meet: People who are kind, forgiving and compassionate. People who are funny and make me laugh!!! People who remember that we are all part of the same human family.
Junior high school students in Chicago were studying the Seven Wonders of the World. At the end of the lesson, the students were asked to list what they considered to be the Seven Wonders of the World. Though there was some disagreement, the following received the most votes:
1. Egypt's Great Pyramids 2. The Taj Mahal in India 3. The Grand Canyon in Arizona 4. The Panama Canal 5. The Empire State Building 6. St. Peter's Basilica 7. China's Great Wall
While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student, a quiet girl, hadn't turned in her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The quiet girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many." The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help."
The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the Seven Wonders of the World are:
1. to touch... 2. to taste... 3. to see... 4. to hear... *She hesitated a little, and then added...* 5. to feel... 6. to laugh... 7. and to love.
The room was so quiet, you could have heard a pin drop.
May this story serve as a gentle reminder to all of us that the things we overlook as simple and ordinary are often the most wonderful - and we don't have to travel anywhere special to experience them.
Meditation is your intrinsic nature -it is you. It has nothing to do with your doings: you can not have it, you cannot not have it, it cannot be possessed, it is not a thing, it is you. -Osho
The child in you, like all children, loves to laugh, to be around people who can laugh at themselves and life. Children instinctively know that the more laughter we have in our lives, the better.
Can you imagine experiencing the world as a great sandbox given for us to play in like we did as children? As we play, we can also open ourselves to the exploration of our edges, always creating new adventures of self-exploration as we let go of old out-dated beliefs about ourselves.
"My childhood may be over, but that doesn’t mean playtime is."
Have a playful week, dearest Jane! Hugs, Smiles and Love from Charlotte. :)
"Never walk near the bed; to a ghost your ankle is your most vulnerable part once in bed, you're safe; he may lie around under the bed all night, but you're safe as daylight. If you still have doubts pull the blanket over your head."
